hathycol: (can't be arsed)
Am lazy and freely accept this. Last night, I did nothing. Well, I watched the history thing and got far too interested. I never knew about King Louie. Still don't know if he's real. But still... it was a big moment for me! Because history is cool. Anyone who tells you it isn't is a fool.

But after that, I sat on the sofa and did nothing. Ooops.

This morning, on the other hand, I've just finished my history, and also an alternative version. It goes as follows:

Yes, as the Civil War was a bit pants. )

I won't put anymore in. I am tempted to hand it in though. My other one ain't much better, let's be gonest.

I'm starving now, and will go and nag [livejournal.com profile] flickerswitch into bounding towards the canteen. Something more interested may happen in my life soon.

Dammit, I keep on getting excited everytime I hear the new Colin and Edith ad on Radio 1. They use the music from FOTR and it really makes me go all tingly and want to watch it again. Actually, I'd love for there to be a new film.

Wow, to be a fangirl-in-waiting again. Four, maybe five years ago, I was on obsessive bookverse fan of LOTR, but it had never occured to me to, say, look for any online stuff as I was a purely Stargate girly. In the cinema with my friends, and there was a trailer. Squeaked, shushed them, and watched the screen intently for thirty seconds.

"They're making a FILM! Wow!"

Good, good days. Then I got various articles in various magazines. Good old SFX. [livejournal.com profile] nepygill brought a poster. And then we went to see it!

By August, I twigged out that I should search for fic. Oh, wow. Part of me really didn't watch ROTK to come out. I miss waiting for the films. Alas.

All this was inspired by an advert for a radio show? Oiy.

I've had a very pleasent afternoon. Jess and I went home on the bus for lunchtime, and we went to Sayers. It was sunny, and not too warm, but warm enough. As such, we went and sat on the swings in the park and felt like we were twelve again. Then we sat by the park, eating MacFlurries (bad Colleen!) and got quite scared by approximately 10 (male) ducks molesting one (female) duck. What's worrying was that we watched in fascinated curiousity for nearly 30 minutes.

That's my amused story of day. I'm off to get ready for work. I do hate Homebase, you know that?

(And on how many levels does this song kick major arse?)
