Hello all. I'm back.
My last post was on Thursday, and now it is Saturday. What's happened to me?
Many things, really.
Twas
shipperkitten's birthday on Friday, and I toddled off to Alton Towers with her, which was lots of fun, especially the new ride, Air. I took great pleasure out of taunting Megan with it. Although some moments were horrible- I'm thinking back to Oblivion now and my stomach is churning. It was painful, and I suddenly turned into a rampant Catholic and began to do the Hail Mary on the way up. All the words just tumbled out of my mouth- learned response I suppose.
See, the thing is, I worked out the other week (really. Minor epiphany) that I actually believe in something... what that is, I don't know, but I rather like the idea that something mildy benevolent is looking over us. It's just organised religion that squicks me out.
Where was I? Ah, yes. Fun day out, although it was a hell of a trek there and back. I had to get to Birkenhead by 8.30. Not fun, and consisted of rolling out of bed at 6.20 (insert mumbles of "buggardon'twanngo" here) and being at the train station by 7.25, and practically falling over dead on the train. But I made it, and that's what counted. It was getting back that was a problem. Stuck for ages at Central, and I had a Guide meeting that night. Which I flew into, and turned out that I'd missed. Oops. Grovelled to leaders pathetically, then came home and ate my own weight in toast, before promptly going to bed and passing out for 12 hours. This is combined with the hours kip I had in Em's car, since I fell alseep for most of the journey back. Sorry about that, by the way.
Oh, and The Song (to which we bopped about in the cable car) can be found by searching for Alton Towers and Grieg.
Woke up this morning, wanted to die once more, but that's a learned reponse to Homebase Hell. I really, really hate work. I do. It was so dull, and boring, and all the customers are stupid people who need to learn that GETTING YOUR MONEY OUT BEFORE I ASK makes a cashier happy. I just... ugh. It's so bloody dull!
And now I'm here, and I meant to do my English, but it hasn't materialised. I will do it tomorrow, and Media Studies I'll do in my free period.
I also need to pick up an abcense form from college on Monday. Convention plans are now finalised. The problem is, Dad has an interview for the Ward Managers job on Monday, which means we can't come back on the Monday. So, we're on our way back on Sunday, which means I only have to scive Friday. Or the last three lessons of Friday. I'm gonna be picked up from college after the 10% meeting- YAY!
I'm quite excited about SG6, and
mettanna has reminded me about Major Guacamole Davis. Squee! I'm quite excited, and plan to toddle along as Famine, although I have hippy costume for Saturday night. But what to wear to the cocktail party? Choices, choices.
I should go now. I need a cup of tea, among other things.
