Jan. 4th, 2006 03:13 pmWell, I liked the Producers. I had John Barrowman squee, cried with laughter at Will Farrell and generally had a good night out. Very good idea not to take our German housemate, though.
Speaking of, Derya is coming home today. Woot!
I did a bad thing today. I am already spectacularly into my overdraft (must... get... job...) and will be painfully so by the end of the month.
This did not prevent me from, um, getting my tragus pierced. It was an accident!
Well, not of the sort where I fell on a needle and then fell again onto the bar, I have to admit.
Basically, Katie needed to get her tongue bar changed, and in I went. I looked at the price list. I went 'um'. Then I looked again and debated between carrying on with my navel project and getting my tragus done. I've wanted to get it done for an awfully long time, to be fair. And the piercer was very nice - chatted away quite happily to me and let Sarah watch. All I could hear was Katie on the other side going "ARGH! CAN'T WATCH!" sort of thing. It didn't hurt due to the copious amount of freezing stuff he put on it, which I was worried about. My other cartiledge piercing hurt a hell of a lot, but this one did not hurt. In fact, it's sort of throbbing, and I'm aware of it, but it's not too bad right now. It looks really pretty - a tiny little hoop with a different coloured ball to the ring. It's loffley. I would show pictures, but I have no camera, so I cannot.
So. Lucky 11. I still have no money and have to spend a fairly large amount tonight on a train ticket to Leeds. OH WOE FOR ME. Other uni students - is it normal to be this shite with money, and crucially, over £100 into the shiny overdraft? On the bright side, I have savings and, y'know, I WILL GET A JOB IF IT KILLS ME.
In February. Naturally.
In other news, I got a card from my mother today. "Congratulations on your engagement!" This is really sweet, I will admit, but, well, I've been engaged since Christmas Eve and at home for all but three days since then. She must have sent it the day I left. Oh, bless. I think.
