Aug. 2nd, 2008 04:10 pmI am currently Extraordinarily Busy. My next day off is on 7th August, during which I may productively work on my dissertation, or prepare the house for our absence, or go to Edinburgh for the Fringe. I will probably just sleep. Come Monday I will be totally AWOL as the sale starts on Wednesday and I am being the prep monkey for it. So, for the attention of mostly
emmysuze: FAT FACE SALE STARTS ON WEDNESDAY. Be polite to the staff, they will have all been in until 10pm the previous night and they are probably a bit jittery on caffiene.
As such, I am getting some stuff sorted out. Next Monday, I turn 21. This is a frightening and slightly awful prospect, but since being 20 wasn't all that good, I'm looking on the bright side. The plan is to try and see people and enjoy having two days off in a row. The evening's events are going to be Classy Shenanigans, with am emphasis on pretending you look smart and teeny tiny cocktail umbrellas. I'm going to book a table at Nahm-Jims (the Thai place) for about 7pm and then head out at about 9pm (I imagine). If you would like to be there, e-mail me and I will bung you onto the table. If you, like the lovely
loneraven, are in Edinburgh and can only come up for the day, then that is ace too! The Lammas Fair is on, and it seems like a good way to spend the day. There is space in the house. I know that most people will be busy, which is okay.
That is about it. I will be over in the corner, covered in red pen and dreaming fitfully about how I could injure some of the customers with naught but a hanger and my rage.
