I am currently Extraordinarily Busy. My next day off is on 7th August, during which I may productively work on my dissertation, or prepare the house for our absence, or go to Edinburgh for the Fringe. I will probably just sleep. Come Monday I will be totally AWOL as the sale starts on Wednesday and I am being the prep monkey for it. So, for the attention of mostly [livejournal.com profile] emmysuze: FAT FACE SALE STARTS ON WEDNESDAY. Be polite to the staff, they will have all been in until 10pm the previous night and they are probably a bit jittery on caffiene.

As such, I am getting some stuff sorted out. Next Monday, I turn 21. This is a frightening and slightly awful prospect, but since being 20 wasn't all that good, I'm looking on the bright side. The plan is to try and see people and enjoy having two days off in a row. The evening's events are going to be Classy Shenanigans, with am emphasis on pretending you look smart and teeny tiny cocktail umbrellas. I'm going to book a table at Nahm-Jims (the Thai place) for about 7pm and then head out at about 9pm (I imagine). If you would like to be there, e-mail me and I will bung you onto the table. If you, like the lovely [livejournal.com profile] loneraven, are in Edinburgh and can only come up for the day, then that is ace too! The Lammas Fair is on, and it seems like a good way to spend the day. There is space in the house. I know that most people will be busy, which is okay.

That is about it. I will be over in the corner, covered in red pen and dreaming fitfully about how I could injure some of the customers with naught but a hanger and my rage.

Oh, I would love to visit you, especially to wish you a better year than this one. But, you know, St. Andrew's is a long way, and I may actually be visiting Scottishland around that time, but probably not your part of it. :s I hope you have a wonderful birthday, anyway. *hugs*

(And try not to kill customers, it reduces sales, which reduces your pay. Important to remember causality in times like these.)

No! Me being in a different country at a difficult time of year is NO EXCUSE AT ALL! :-)

I am VERY SORRY. Really. But I will hopefully see you when you come down to Worcester, and then we shall have a second birthday, if you like. *g*

21's not too bad. So far it's been better than 20, anyway (though in my case that's not saying a huge amount).
Hope yours goes well. Looks like I won't be visiting scottishland at all this year; sorry, I would've very much liked to have been there.
xx

Today we, like many other stores in the UK, are currently reorganising the entire store. THREE SEPERATE TIMES the rail fell on me, and I'm only on my lunch break! You'd est enjoy this sale and spent loadsa moola, that's all I'm saying. (I've seen the estimated spending for that day. It is alarming.)
