hathycol: (angry eowyn)
I was good at looking after Mister, I think. I talked to him, exercised him, played wth him, fed him regularly, and we both seemed fairly happy with our lot, other than The Escape Incident That We Don't Talk About. It was all good.

Dogs, though? Argh. *flails* I think a lot of it is that the dog we have is spoiled rotten and used to my Dad, who can control him etc etc. Also, Tai is rather needy and gets freaked out when people unexpectedly disappear. This has thus far manifested in breaking into the fridge and eating all my cheese, and then last night barking the place down while I was trying to have a bath. He is also used to a houshold where three adults work shifts, and generally someone is around to feed him early, stuff like that.

Unfortunately, two of those adults have disappeared and Megan is taking the time to revel is being able to stay out all night at the boyfriend's house (this is the one that gave her chlyamidia but she hasn't told him that yet please do not ask because I have given up trying to understand) which is fine, as it means I have free reign at the telly and don't have to put up with endless E4 and fags. HOWEVER it means that I am on full dog duty. She is walking him in the hours she's home, which is a relief, but as the only one here overnight I have to stay up late until the dog goes into his bed by himself, otherwise he barks all night. I am also getting out of bed early so that the poor thing can uncross his legs and get into the garden and get his breakfast. Megan being out all the times means that it is I who am being sleep-deprived.

(The moral of the story is that I probably couldn't cope with a baby, I think.)

So, I am tired and a little cranky. It probably doesn't help that I was up for a few hours overnight due to the gales and rain we've been experiencing, and I couldn't work out why it was all so loud until I realised that Megan had left her windows wide open. Also, I'm on a weird shift today, 4-8. The travelling means I won't be home until about nine if I'm lucky, so I really hope Megan is home to feed the dog tonight.

In other news, I am really enjoying mainlining the Sarah Connor Chronicles but I think that I need to slow down on the basis that I ws filled with genuine unease when I heard a Garbage song the other day. Nerd, I am one.
