Jan. 7th, 2013 07:37 pmToday I fell over basically thin air, resulting in sprawling across the road in a sort of bellyflop/slide. Fortunately, the only thing I hurt was my pride! And the left hand side of my body. Ahahahaha.
A very kind lady in a pink jacket pretty much hauled me out of the MIDDLE OF THE ROAD whilst I burbled that I'd managed to break my glasses (which had skidded off my face and moved ahead of me - fortunately, undamaged) and all I wanted was a sit down and a good long cry. The very kind lady insisted that this was a bad idea in the middle of the road, which was probably correct.
Unfortunately, today was hellishly busy and I had to do some stuff before I even got into work, so I went to do that and attempted not to cry all over the meeting rooms I wasn't able to book (long story) and then had to lug furniture around in the office to try and sort what was, in essence, someone else's problem.
Overwhelming urge to cry was fairly strong throughout the whole morning, with a banging headache from the adreneline and an increasingly sore left arm. For some reason I found singing 'The Jeep Song' in my head fairly aggressively surprisingly helpful. Also, I spent the day doing the job of three people, due to a bad combination of holidays and sickness, so I had rather a lot on. This helped, to be honest - nothing overwhelms a truly stupid act like a day of mild competency.
Now my arm hurts, er, a lot, so I am going to see if having a bath will fix matters.
Argh, I am an idiot sometimes.
SO THAT WAS MY DAY.
