Oct. 30th, 2003 08:09 pmThis is going to be my Last Big Post until Monday. As such, I am actually going to write a long and verbose post.
Today was much, much, much fun, all things considered. As
flickerswitch has already mentioned, we did our talk on CGI in media studies, which was fun. Jess reckons I sound prissy when I talk out loud, but there we are. At least I can spell attractive and know it has two t's.
(That's a mildly nasty comment, especially when considering that she's dyslexic, but spell check exists for a reason.)
Talk was fun though, as well as getting to watch the "Ooooh!" aliens in Toy Story, and that's never a bad thing. I came out feeling well and truly fangirly, since we played pretty much all of the Pretty!Legolas moments, as well as a nice Shieldmaiden!Eowyn bit on the trailer. Combined with Stargatey goodness, this didn't help my attempts to grovel about not going to English tomorrow. Saying "Yeah, family funeral" looks really dodgy when you have huge great grin on your face.
Had a reason to be fangirly. Extended TTT on a cinema screen that I know how to find. D'you want to come,
mettanna? Please?
Spent lunchtime watching 28 Days Later which is an absolutely stonking film. Quite amazingly brilliant, and inspired a film for
flickerswitch to do for media studies. Which will also be stonking, if I have to sabotage the other entries by myself. (I like the word "stonking", even though it looks slighlty dirty.)
Then it was a history lesson, in which we had a fairly interesting lesson in which my mind constantly kept on comparing Jesuits to Assassins (black clothing, they kill people out of a strange sense of honour... curses!) which means that I'll have some fascinating exam questions.
"...TheAssassins Guild Society of Jesus was led by Lord Downey Ignatius Loyalta..."
And then I came home, and withdrew my money from the bank, as the hotel is situated in the middle of nowhere and I old out no hopes for a cash machine. Total money: £180, which isn't too bad and will pay, hopefully, for signed photos and a photo with Suanne Braun, as well as Christmassy stuff. If photos are cheaper than I thin, definately getting a photo with Colin Cunningham.
Still haven't thought of any questions, though, except for one to Teryl: "Any chance of you appearing on X-Men Evolution again?"
Multi-fandomness. Fun.
Tomorrow, apart from The Convention *bouncebouncebounce*, I have the first meeting on the 10% Group, which I am mildy terrifed about. This is because someone who is either one of two people came up to me today and asked me about where it was because "No! God, no, I'm not gay, just interested..."
Anyone, this one of two people could have been:
1. Ryan from the bus.
2. Jonathon. Yes
flickerswitch, that Jonathon.
Either way, it just porves that will people come just to nose? Or, even worse, will no one turn up and it'll be just me? Wibble.
But yay. Convention! Tomorrow! ARGH!
I think that's about it, folks. See you all on Monday *bouncebouncebounce* and be good!
