CD Players
Jan. 9th, 2004 10:07 amMy computer at college is being slow. This irritates me no end, since I'm trying to do about three things and pretending to do another. "Sorry? No, course I'm not messing aroumd, this is research for my history essay! Honest!"
She seems to believe me. It's all good.
GAH! Have just realised that I'm sitting next to
flickerswitch! Neither of us noticing! Bizarre... speaking of
flickerswitch, she is cramping my style. Well, she would if I had any. Someone came to and sat next to me in English, and said it was very sweet I had found a girlfriend. Picture the look on my face.
"What girlfriend?"
"YOu know, the one with the long hair? I thought that you were... oh. Sorry."
I laughed so long and hard at this, and have mercilessly picked on
flickerswitch since.
So, I didn't update last night, which is remarkable in itself. I actually went out. To Homebase. And not to work. This is incredibly sad, and I freely admit this, but I needed a new CD player and there's something like 30% off what with various sales. And Mum needed a blind. So, off we toddled. And I spent £30 of my Christmas money on a new and funky CD Player, which is all pretty, blue and little, better than my old black one. I am still going to try and flog my old CD player, though, because it's in fairly good nick and the speakers are good.
Enough of that.
I should be in a politics lesson detailing pressure groups. I'm not, as you can tell. We turned up, waited outside for a few moments, the Law teacher turned up and gave us an essay instead. The essay was easy. "Give your opinion on the miner's video." So I did, and I used the word 'abhorrent' twice. I also made subtle digs along the lines of "Whilst I felt shocked by this video, I suspect this was purposeful..." Ah well. I'm Labour leftie anyway.
But now I'm off to the happy world that is break. After that, I have a meeting for the trip down to London to be in the Parliamentary debate. I need to know what it is I have to write my application essay on...
So, I off I go. Toodles. Etc.
