Jan. 18th, 2004 03:13 pmI can't believe I just sat there for almost two hours, getting really, really into 'Star Trek IV'. What's even worse is that I can't remember the title. To me, it always has been and always will be 'The One With The Whales'.
Well, I was putting off actual working, to be honest. I found a rather enigmatic note in my homework planner last night. "2nd English Coursework." Now, whilst this probably made loads of sense at the time, I have no idea to what I was referring. 2nd draft of the first one? Or 1st draft of the second coursework? I'm going for the first one, and this is my iron clad excuse. Failing that, English is last. I'll have all of lunchtime to scrabble about and write something.
I also have to do my history. However, all I have to do is go through it get rid of bits. Not too bad.
So, yeah. I watched Star Trek, and it was, actually, good. This was after I watched 'Fallout'. I knew two things about it from accidentally reading the first two lines of the fringedwellings: "Yay Jonas! Eugh hair!" Which was so true. I mean... nasty.
Thing was, I rather enjoyed it. Because, you know, Jonas. But apart from that, it had a lot going for it. It was interesting. It had the prettiest plot device I've seen a while.
flickerswitch is contagious. I saw the shot around the digging machine, and I just went 'ooooh, that's gorgeous!'. And then I rewound it and watched the bit again. It was lovely!
I didn't see the twist with Kiana (spl?) coming at all. Although nasty girlfriend. Ick. I immediatly distrusted the ambassadors on this level alone: Never trust a woman with a white power suit. It's a sci-fi convention, espeically when they have scary facelift faces.
All in all- good! Yay!
Although it's Chimera next week, which I'm sure is out of sync... they're not going to do an American Gothic again, are they? Dr Matt went insane, then there were 7 episodes before they actually dealt with his insanity.
I've just found Microsoft Photo Editor on my computer. *squees* As soon as I can use it, I might actually be able to make a banner for my website. It would be about bloody time.
But AFTER I do by English. Off I go... nust get into Sugar mode...
"OMG! Girls! Go find a hawt boi!"
*shudder*
