FREE CONVENTION!

hathycolWolf are great. Also evil. I am a Sad Stargate Geek (TM) and as such I qualify for a free ticket. A Free Ticket. For a convention. And I get some autographs free, which will do perfectly well for me. And did I mention the free?
Have asked parents. Even better, have been given permission. Mum's first question:
"Who are you going with?"
"Erm... probably Em. If it's free. If not... don't know. Maybe Sarah. I'll go myself..."
*Mum stays remarkably calm* "So... with a friend?"
"I'll be seventeen, Mum."
"Right. You can go, but you're going with a friend. And I want proof of the friend."
*blink* "Okay..."
So, I think I may be going. The problem is that it will still cost money. As will Collectormania in May, which has the lovely Brad Dourif (will I be allowed to pin a note saying 'the plural is Rohirrim, they speak Rohirric, and they are FROM Rohan!' to him?) and Corin Nemec, Scary Hair Of Doom and all. This will also cost money. So will the planned festival over the summer.
Oh dear...
But such is the nature of life. Overtime ahoy.

Date: 2004-01-18 07:38 pm (UTC)Basically, I want to go to one, but the fun part will be finding one that me and Simon can agree on. Hmmm. Trickyness. We'll probably end up moshing away at Bloodstock with Enid in the end. Others are just... expensive. And we're both terminally cheap, unfortunately.
It will be a good summer, but I wil have no money to do anything else with, I suspect.

It's basically a slightly heavier musical festival, but is cheaper since is basically unheard of. It sounds very much fun, but I can't wait to see parents reaction...
