Good news: ROTK nominated for eleven, including Best Picture and Direction. City of God and Dirty Pretty Things also won nominations. Johnny Depp for Best Actor. Cold Mountain only up for one acting nomination.

Bad news: ROTK has no acting nominations. You bastards. You complete and utter bastards. Two words: Sean Astin. Two more: Billy Boyd. Yet more: Ian MacKellen. You utter, utter bastards. Once more, films about Truth, Justice and Freedom have grabbed them all. Oh, no, wait. LOTR is ABOUT truth, and freedom, and justice. Sorry, I meant the BORING, AMERICANIZED, DULL versions of Truth, Justice and Freedom with bloody stars and stripes on them.

I say again: bastards.

*stamps foot* Hear hear! Although i'm obviously very please with all the other noms, i was almost sure Sean Astin, at least, would be up for best supporting actor, he fucking well deserves to be up there!

And on a slightly calmer note, nice quote. Would use it myself, but i don't think Scotland ever ruled anything.

Historically, you did, actually. If memory serves, you were a seperate country whilst some colonies in America. Under the names of various James' and Charles'. YOu were a seperate country at that time, so, technically, we ruled them in coalition!
