Paid Account, dude! Uploading icons between typing. Excuse me whilst I dance the dance of joy in the corner. Many people would have different icons to dientify mood, and whatnot, but no. Finally, I can fulfill my fandom needs.

*dances once more*

Anyway, I shall now post a Normal Post. Admittingly whilst marvelling at the new layout.

Our house is falling down around our ears, and it's starting to get worrying. We were already having problems with the flat roof, as Megan's bedroom ceiling is beginning to look dodgy. Last week, due to rain, the downstairs-next-to-kitchen-space (we don't actually know what it is. We just let the dog sleep there) window top bit (so descriptive. None of you have ever seen my house, and you're all so confused now) fell in. And now it leaks in the rain.

Last night we had a hurricane really bad wind and rain. And so, the window dripped, and Mum and myself had to drag Dad in from trying to go up and brush the water off.

"The roof will cave in if I don't!"
"You'll die if you do, and then the roof will still cave in!"

It got worse later on. For a start, it was freeing upstairs, but I Was Not Permitted to turn the heating on. So, I go to Megan's room for the airing cupboard and to grab a quilt. And her room was, quite genuinely, squeaking. (Megan was on a sleepover last night.)

Panicked. As such, went downstairs with no glasses on, hair askew and an old quilt on me. An old quilt, may I add, which had a charming pattern of Noah's Ark on it that I've had since I was four. This must have set off an internal switch somewhere in my parents, who leapt up to my rescue.

Bless, I should try and be six more often.

The squeaking was, in fact, Megan's window pushing out of the frame. It was that windy. Mum panicked. Dad panicked. At midnight, Dad was merrily pushing various bits of wood against the window, Mum was moving anything electrical away, and I sat on the floor in my quilt and sniggered. Couldn't watch since have no depth perception without glasses. Such is life.

This morning, window is still in and sister is not.

Life is good.

And can I just say that the best night's sleep tends to come from sleeping under two quilts? Cosy, much?

Anyway. Iconage! Or would be, if I wasn't being dragged of for dinner. So the best I can offer is this Anne rice one that I've had for a while and can now finally use. Praise be to [livejournal.com profile] magadaleina.

Jeez, i really hope your house stops falling down some time soon, it doesn't sound particularly...safe.

Paid accounts are wonderful things... *huggles Clareyperson*

I like your new layout, and the new icons! Particularly the one that says 'there is no bloody spoon'. Tres funny.

Hope the house is still standing...
