Oh, I'm tired.

Last night, I went to work. I spent three hours there and talked to Adam, who is much nicer than I suspected. I trained with him and he looked, well, dead, but we had a very silly night which including trying to do the Cha-Cha Slide to the muzak. Thing is, though, I didn't get home until nine. Gave up on the meal lark and went to bed.

Woke up. Snarled and stomped around a lot, but that's normal. I went to college, and the first thing I saw was someone in a Harry Potter Sockpuppet t-shirt of Ron, saying "Bother."

Was held back from publich humiliation by Jess, who banned me from running down the corridor to squee at her.

Got on the bus for the UCAS thingie. Now, I didn't know that anyone I knew was going, so curled up in anti-social manner at the back of the little bus and tried to sleep for an hour. Didn't actually happen, but we got to Manchester quickly enough. Off the bus I got... and there was Natalie, who I sit next to in English. Gah. Am idiot. At any rate, we did the girly 'cling together' thing, and around the universitie stalls we toddled.

I picked up a prospectus for the following universities:

*St Andrews
*Edinburgh
*Dundee
*Strathcylde
*Aberdeen

Looking back, I should have picked up six, but I know what I wanted out of university - it had to be Scottish and it had to teach medieval history. Everything else was was a nice fringe benefit. I may apply to Aberwyswth just to say that I did. (Besides, a university with that many y's and w's should be the unofficial home of [livejournal.com profile] msas.) I also got a free copy of the Independant. Natalie and me proceeded to get bored, found other people, and then we went to MacDonalds. We were that bored. Besides, they weighed a ton.

One bus trip home (actually ditting next to someone!) where I didn't look at the prospectuses. (Prospecti?) Not because I'm mortally afraid of making a decision. Oh no. I get travelsick. No, really. It's embarrassing.

Got back to college, ran to the English staffroom, snaffled my English back (thats my Saturday sorted) and ran back to aforementioned bus. I got to Ormskirk, and went to the doctors.

My, wasn't that fun. Was stuck in a queue for 30 minutes (booking that appointment was such and when I got in, I was thirsty and needed to pee, which is a bad combination by anyone's logic. So, I got poked in the throat. A lot. The grand conclusion? I have a bleeding great ulcer which has inflamed my tonsil.

Ladies and gentleman, your taxpayers money at work.

I have been given a scarily large amount of medicine. Tablets and stuff to spray down the throat. Um, yay? I was also told not to eat anything hot. Gyah. I already knew this...

Came home and looked at assorted prospectus type things. So did Mum. St Andrews looks amazing. Mmmm. History nerd. (That's an icon that needs making.) But... well... it's university. There will be large amounts of money involved. All in all, it's very scary and I don't know if I'm ready to think about that kind of stuff. I keep on thinking "Wait, I'm not READY to do a Masters Degree!"

At some point, however, I suspect I will need to.

Life is scary. And now I have to go to Guides and avoid the prospectuses. Dad has a new job, now (hurrah! Promotion!) so he'll be distracted and won't try to talk to me about them. Mum is worse, since she's obsessed with pretty much making the choices, but Dad makes me think. Which is scary.

Guides ahoy. Little horrors.
