Mar. 6th, 2004 06:42 pmFor those that asked about my obsession with Scotland, I don't think I can explain it myself, really. It's just... I don't know. I have a very weird and somewhat conflicting personality. Part of me adores the idea of a big city - energy! People! The other half is in love with quiet, and nature, and just being me and a book in a quiet place...
Oh, and I want to be as far away from my family as possible. Maybe it's just to prove I can... I don't know why.
So, that was Wales out.
By that logic, Scotland fits. And I just love the idea. I really do. So... Scotland ahoy. Or so I hope. I am now going to be paranoid about not getting in. So you all know.
Today has been refreshingly dull. I had a lie-in (well, until 10.00) and when I woke up, I dragged my sorry arse to work armed with a bottle of water and Halls Soothers. Four non-eventful hours later, I came home. And I've done my English, so it's officially finished, and now...
I have nothing to do.
This is a lie, of course. For a start, I should be revising. But, y'know, it's late, they're mocks, so I don't actually care that much. I also have a tape of Battlestar Galactica that Mum talked someone from the office into loaning her, but I have Plans to watch that tomorrow. As such... I can spend a night loafing and reading fanfic.
So, I've returned to Draco Veritas, that which I abadoned as it became too self-indulgent and OOC, and really gave Ron too much of a hard time. Wasn't quite sure why so many people loved it, actually. But now I have a cup of tea (that I'm letting go lukewarm - it's drinkable if angled right, then) and soon I will experiment with chocolate of some sort, so I feel that it will be a fun night.
Aaaaaaah. Bliss.

Date: 2004-03-06 11:21 am (UTC)Edinburgh as a city to live and play in, is fantastic. You would love it. Edinburgh uni is not so hot... Highest suicide rate, posh rep but not so posh coursework... If i were you, id try and find a decent uni in Edinburgh or Glasgow. St Andrews is quiet but classy.
Good luck!
Sook on something nicer - like elf meats!
