hathycolSo today I went to pawn some jewellery, as you do. O HAI if you're reading this Simon, ta for dumping me over the phone and all that. Anyway, turns out that Shirley Bassey lied and diamonds are most certainly not forever because it got to the point where one jeweller was that desperate for the gold and not the stone he offered to cut the diamond out whilst I suspect trying to peer in my mouth for gold fillings. I backed out of the shop fairly swiftly.
This is a problem, as I am quite a lot broke at the moment and was sort of hoping for a bit of a cash injection. This is not helped by the ongoing saga of hitting the neighbours car, as he rocked up to the flat today for a cheque and spent fifteen minutes telling me about why car insurance is wrong in this country, what the courses are like if you get caught for speeding ("but it's okay! My license is Polish so there are no points to take off!") and so on. Have presented him with cheque for £120 (WHAT IS IT BEING PAINTED WITH, GOLD?) as requested and trying desperately not to think about my enormous great overdraft. Hey ho.
Anyway, have not flogged ring as of yet, so there we go. I have at least changed my address at the bank and bought a loaf of bread. I really should just hold on to the small achievements.
Now I am going to go and clean tbe bathroom. Small achievements, see?
