Well, today too has gone suprisingly better than I thought it was. Incidentally, it's fancy dress day, and as such I came in as a girl. I am wearing a skirt, boots, a nice top, and I've even put a semi-posh bobble in my hair. I'm not wearing any blue, nor jeans, and I feel weird. Girly. Which is weird, or at least for me.

So, yes. I was greeted in college by a semi-hysterical Susie. "Colleen! Are you ready for the English timed essay?"
"We had an essay?"
"Yes!"
"Ah well, I'm off to conduct interviews. Ta ra!"

Yes, this morning was spent in the most surreal set of lessons I've ever had. Five candidates with twenty minutes each to teach us about Constitutional Reform Since 1997. We were a combination of law and politics students, by the way.

Anyway, the first bloke, R- (blah blah confidentiality) was boring. He didn't engage with the class whatsoever, and as such, bored me. He did seem to know his stuff, though.

The second one, C- was a bit better - much more interactional. She also had no experience and generally was a bit wishy-washy.

The third one we shall dub Hitler. Well, A-. She was awful. Purely law based, for a start, so I was lost. She treated us like kids (she'd be the only teacher in the place to make us call her Mrs K-) and was incomprehensible and dull. I then put up my hand to ask what publuc authoirty was. Maybe it was stupid, but I didn't have a clue! She looked at me as though I'd flashed at her or something, despite explaining that I was only a politics student. Stuff her then.

The fourth one, An- was much better. I actually chose him as favourite. Very passionate, evidently a law dude but I understood what was going on.

The fifth and final on, K- was... weird. He was a genuinely good teacher, but if I'd had him constantly he would have annoyed me.

At any rate, the last two drew as student selection. Such is life.

Wandered off to key skills, and praise be! Judith is dead ill! As such, I calmly numbered my pages and gave it in to the substitute. And now I am here and contemplating going home. I'm going out to see Dawn Of The Dead with Simon tonight, so I figure I should go home early, as otherwise it's literally a case of drop off my bag and run. But then I feel guilty for abandoning [livejournal.com profile] flickerswitch...

No time left to choose now, though. I'll go and find her and grovel, methinks. Besides, if I go now, there's less chance my English teacher will find me...

Hey! It's the Easter holidays now! Woo!
