So, yes.

I don't seem to have updated for a while. Okay, it's only about two days, but that's a big gap. For me, anyway. I've not even done very much. Easter Monday consisted of Andrew coming around and we listened to Radio 1 for hours. They were taking selections for ten hours as a gimmick.

For some odd reasons, our continual texted pleas to get PJ And Duncan - Lets Get Ready To Rumble failed. Weird, that.

I've actually been in something of a mood for pop music recently. Not modern stuff, hell no. the older stuff. For example, Robbie Williams. I was a fangirl of Take That (and I can sing to most it still) when I was six. Anyway, I heard Lazy Days again yesterday, which has prompted to me to dig out my old Robbie stuff. They were the first CDs I owned, actually. His old stuff is really from back in the days he wanted to be in Oasis, and it still sounds fantastic. I'm singing my heart out to Old Before I Die as I type this, and I don't care who knows it. I'm not so keen on Robbie's more recent stuff (but yes, I have all the albums) but I still say he's just wonderful. I am still determined to go and see him live at least once more in my life. He was fantastic the first time I went, and I was very proud to say that my mate Louise got him to talk to her in front of the whole crowd. To be precise, she yelled up "GET YOUR KIT OFF!" in the middle of Eternity and he stopped singing, reached down, and said something along the lines of "Now, look, I'm not going to strip. I'm singing a romatic ballad and you want me naked!"

Sounds silly, but that was my first ever gig. Happy memories.

Anyway, this led on to more old pop music. The Backstreet Boys, to be precise. I dare anyone not to dance to 'Everybody'. I dug out my old tape and did my funky stuff to that earlier on today.

See, I never really liked pop that much even back then. I was the only female member of my class not to fancy Steven Gately/Ronan Keating (hmmm...) when I was eight, because I thought Boyzone were crap. I didn't like most of the charts as it was. But wow, some of that music was good.

Mind you, I also own every single one of Ant and Dec's albums. I was a weird child, let me tell you.

Not much has changed, actually.

So, this morning I actually got out of bed in the morning. I got out of the shower in the afternoon, but I feel it's progress. I've even done some work - got off my arse and did the past paper for history. Agonisingly slowly, since let's face it, tax rises in the 1640s isn't engrossing from whatever way you tackle it, but it's done. First Real Revision. A scary thought, really.

Fandom is being a bit bitchy over Open Scrolls again, but I'm having such a blast writing it that I'm going to briefly ignore it. The rules work well for me - Tuilenn has bloody Lindir Of Three Lines as her primary character, and unless you count her brief bonk with Erestor she's pretty well under the radar when it came to nabbing characters.

It's great to be me.

At any rate, writing the story is fun. I like working with other people. I like getting reviews. It's all tremendous fun!

Nargothrond
The Valar have determined that the hidden city of
Nargothrond, ruled first by noble Finrod and
then by his weaker, but still sweet brother
Orodreth is the best place for you. You will
enjoy life in a beautiful city with developed
culture, beautiful swift river. For centuries
you will be safe from Orc attacks. However,
you will have to accept that that mortal,
Turin, will eventually let Glaurung eat you.

Your place in Tolkien's Beleriand.

Dragons are just cool. And that's just given me a glimmer of an idea for a new OS idea. Erm. I'll go away and think about it in work. Which is where I have to be surprisingly soon. I should probably eat now.

And holy... orc, [livejournal.com profile] emmysuze! Orlando Bloom's STREET? I live in the wrong end of the country...

Do I have to? I'm already resigned to the fact I have to re-write most of my second chapter (well the non-smutty bits). Last time I got involved in a discussion about the VV I got shouted at, I'm not making that mistake again! I'll just be happy with what's going on and work around it.

BSBs were never better than Take That. How can you say that? Take That were the original and the best.

If GLT and Kim/Thule are sorted, you can get there too.

I'm not cross or anything, I'm just not looking forward to the extra work ;) I've got some ideas of how to sort it anyway. Chapter 2 hasn't been published, it's still at the betaing stage which was why I showed it to Anna cos her character's in it.
