May. 18th, 2004 12:43 pmI do not appreciate trekking over Orrell sheerly for the purpose of coming to collge just to get a tutorial on what Module 3 papers will be like. I want that down for the record.
Yesterday, I may have already had the right idea in that I got the early bus in, and spent my morning nancing around and doing nothing in particular before going to the Four Hour Session Seminar Thingie Of Doom. I mean, there are something like 80 politics students, and a good 50 of us turned up for the lesson. Needless to say, it was fun trying to make us all fit.
Lara then come back to my house, my family scared the living daylights out of her (but then, they do that to most people) and we spent the evening trying to unsuccessfully be healthy on a budget. Not a chance!
I have now completed The Vampire Lestat and rather enjoyed it, and not only for the pretty, pretty boy kissing. (The Oedipal thing with Gabrielle is just wrong.) Now I've moved onto Queen Of The Damned which is much better, actually. Can't be done with first person whining and distinct Mary-Sue stuff, but Anne Rice isn't too bad when someone sits her down and makes her write in third person.
And now I shall go with
flickerswitch and get food.
