Well, bugger.

All week I've not actually done a lot, thinking that I'd get all my Evil And Nasty revision sorted next week.

However, I have just agreed to go to Liverpool not once but twice with the Resident Lunatics and Christine. I love both dearly, so there was no way I was going to say no (the first I don't get to see every often; the second I've completely let down about our summer plans) but this does buggar up my revision plans. As such, I will actually do a lot of work tomorrow; ideally, I'll get through at least half a module of history, almost all of which I've done in the last term so it shouldn't be as torturous as Unit 1. ("The Five Knights case? What? This isn't important, isn't it...")

As such, I will now try and update so that I can work like a demon and reward myself over the week.

Last night, I didn't watch Friends, as I didn't actually return home from work until 9.20. As such, I watched Have I Got News For You and felt virtuous. Then the inevitable happened: I watched Big Brother. Initial response:

"They're all twats!"

Well, they are. They're going to be obsessed with sex and arguments this series. Well, more so. The men all annoy me ("Four A's at A-Level? Oh, do grow up." "AAARRGGHHH! Naked muscly man! God, I knew there was a reason I was gay..." "He's more girly than I am!") as they're all eejits. The women are tarts, except for Kitten who I fear I will eventually turn into (shoot me if I do...) and Nadia, who looks like a large Monica Belluci. Worrying, since she is in fact a transsexual.

I'll still be helplessly addicted and posting about the house events, though.

I then went upstiars and watched ROTK throughout much of the night. Now, I cry a lot. I can't help it. Beautiful music makes me cry if I'm in the right mood; spectacular sights bring tears to my eyes; soaps can occasionally set me off. Ironically, though, I very rarely cry about Personal Events, so there we are. ROTK I cried all the way through, last night. I cried at the Hobbits; I cried at the beacon scene because it's so gorgeous. I then went to sleep as I had work the next day, but I've finished watching it now, and once more, I wept like a big, pathetic girly. I do so terribly love that film. I really, really do.

Work was shite today, and when they asked me to stay longer at five to four I practically shrieked "NO!" rather than a half decent, polite, "she's the one who signs my paycheques" response. But I came home, and I must admit that I did the happy dance when I saw that Interview With The Vampre has finally fallen through my door.

Unfortunately, it came with bad news. I signed up a while ago for "In4mers" which is a Guide-based peer education thing. It's look good ont he UCAS form, I thought.

What I didn't realise is that a. I signed up to something with a dreadful netspeak title and b. I have to toddle down to London in October for training. I am mad. I hope Lara's doing this, so I actually have support in this thing I've signed up for. How the bloody hell am I supposed to get to London? Transport paid, admittingly, but still.

On the bright side, I have pretty vampires on DVD to watch tonight. Tomorrow: Here I come, First And Second English Civil War (now with extra added Scottish on BOTH sides in different wars!)

Hun if you can get to Milton Keynes you can get to London becuase all the Virgin Trains that go to MK go on to London Euston (I should know, done it far too many times now). All you need to do is get to Piccadilly and then you can get a train all the way to London. You don't even have to change if you don't want to. And then the Tube is very easy to navigate. Stress not! Though give me a shout if you get confused by the Tube map, it happens to the best of us!

Take care, and good luck with the revision. Having been through the Hell that is AS Levels I sympathise. Lil' Sis is doing the same at the moment and is up to her eyeballs in Psychology case studies. I was the first year through though so I still maintain it must have been worse for me. Good luck!

I can get to London and I shall. Been a few times, it's more a case of "You buggars! You said the next training would be in Manchester!" Bleurgh.

I used to hate the Tube, but on recent college trips it's become my new best friend... ha, I sound like I know where I'm going... worryingly, I know my way from Soho to Parliament, though.

Revision will be just fine, and I'm entirely sure it would have been worse for you. I've looked at the past papers and they were cruel those first few years! Good luck to your lil sis as well; Psychology sounds evil.

Huh!?

Ok, let me get this straight. They're PAYING you to go to London and you DON'T want to? I would leap at a chance because I've only been a couple of times. Go, you'll have fun, do the stupid guide training thing, then go look at a load of sightseeing stuff.

Oh, and I agree that they're all twats in the big bro house, however Gem who lives with me at uni was forced to admit last night (mainly when she shreiked and we asked why) that the twat who owned up to having four a-levels was a guy who used to go to her primary school. It was very funny.

They're not paying me! I have to make a funding bid and they will pay me back.

Well, okay, same difference.

And someone in YOUR house knows someone in THAT house? Cool! Sell her story to the paper; the Star'll pay for it!
