Jun. 30th, 2004 05:09 pmAny day that begins with my sleeping in and my mother pounding on the door and telling me that "YOU HAVE TO BE ON THE BUS IN FIFTEEN MINUTES! MOVE!" is never a good day. This meant that I was in something of a rush. This was combined with the fact I couldn't find batteries for the CD player, and had to face the windy rain with nothing to listen to.
Ugh.
First sight of the morning was that of Lucy's new tattoo. It is very pretty (and I must say I'm astonished she got up the bottle) but I can't help but feel that she's going to end up regretting it. She chose the pattern on a whim - that can't be a good decision? I'm not sure. I think I'd like to be a little more prepared... but never mind.
English was downright awful this morning. We had a Key Skills Assessment in discussing the history of the English language. Whilst Sue sat and watched us. My, it was boring and somewhat dull as we practiced being polite and nice about a subject at least three of us (in a group of five) was dropping. A shame. We also had a weird assignment for editorial writing on T-Rexes.
I cannot WAIT to drop this bloody subject.
Politics was also desperately dull. Sigh. Everyone is looking forward to freedom. I'm so... lazy over college at the moment. I've lost all motivation. Bored bored bored.
Tonight, I think I shall re-watch Flash Gordon in an attempt to lift flagging spirits. On the bright side - getting my tooth done tomorrow! Finally, a bloody crown! *dances* I can smile at people again!

Date: 2004-06-30 12:57 pm (UTC)English... I used to really like it. I got to A-Level and chose the specialist English Language course. I liked the parts where they let me write :) Unfortunately, they neglectd to mention the fact that it is a pedantic and picky subject, and basically all the parts I DETESTED from English Literature - basically, finding meaning where there is none. So, I'm going to drop that subject and make my merry way to possibly a drama course for a year until I leave school. Suddenly, I'm glad that the system is flexible like that!
I am a total geek. I love history. It's my passion! I am a complete and utter geek over it and I enjoy being able to find out why we do stuff now because of events in the past. *shrugs* I like being weird.
Come on Holland! I'm on your side, we need to kick the bloody
cheatingPortuguese out!
