Jun. 30th, 2004 08:58 pmIt seems that my support of a football team is something of a death knell. I sat there cheering Holland on, and Portugal seem to be winning.
Curses. Sorry,
musemistress!
Maybe I should stop watching and go and read Nostradamus Ate My Hamtser. Dad appears to be finished with it, which I'm going to take as permission to snaffle. I have ordered Tipping The Velvet amongst others from the library; and I've finished one of the ones Dave recommended.
Get me and my literary self!
I'm very hungry. Veggie stuff I was supposed to be having went a bit wrong as it was springy, tasted of rubber and had the constituency of polystyrene. Dad looked amazed when I told him that Quorn and other veggie mince were made of different things. El Gasp! As such, I managed to eat the potato and the peas. I'm currently trying to be healthy - I stepped on the scales by accident and panicked the other day - and as such I'm trying not to snack, or at least cut down on the snacking that isn't fruit. And whoever said apples were filling were lying. Satsumas are good. I can get through up to about 7 in the space of a day. Apples, on the other hand, are naught but empty promises, fairy tales and Hobbit snacks.
OOOH! 2-1! Hope is rekindled!
Yes, yes, I know, only a game...

Satsumas are probably the reason that Christmas becomes bearable again - it's the only time they're ever cheap at the supermarket!

Date: 2004-07-01 04:23 am (UTC)I do that all the time. Whenever I watch a sport, any sport, the person/team I cheer for loses.
