All creatures shall make merry. Under pain of death.

Well, last night was fun. As you may have gathered from my previous post, we had a Good Evening all round. I will attempt to transcribe in a better way, although you will note that my spelling will decline.

After completing my cleaning, I felt slightly proud of myself and, y’know, in control of the situation. This was changed when Enid opened my door and walked in at roughly the moment I was flushing the loo. *facepalm* Enid and Hannah had turned up at my house, and before long, Iona joined her with two absolutely terrified looking 14 year olds in two, Nupur and Joshua, who were very nice, albeit understandably terrified.

Before long, Clare phoned, so out we toddled to Ormskirk station to meet her, whilst discussing Iona’s new WEIRD fixation. It’s non-slash mentor/mentee fic, i.e. Giles/Buffy. There’s wrong and there’s wrong people. We went home via a milk stop and pizza, and homeward bound.

Miranda has been erected for the duration of the weekend in the living room. Clare walked in and nearly dropped the pizza before greeting her like an old friend. Hee!

We started off by watching the Rocky Horror Picture Show, as you may have noticed. I think Hannah stole the show by, in a quizzical tone, enquiring "Has he killed Meatloaf?" The little ‘uns looked terribly confused and slightly scared when I declared that Anthony Stewart Head had once played Frank N’ Furter. Ah well.

Alcohol was then opened, and I think a shot between the two of the little ‘uns (of course, I shouldn’t encourage underage drinking. I was at their age, but it’s a different drinking culture in America isn’t it?) which I suspect wasn’t touched. The vodka was drank and two episodes of Buffy were watched. Once More With Feeling prompting singing (and crying from Hannah for I’m Under Your Spell) and Tabula Rasa which provided amusement and confusion. I love that episode, though. "I think I’m kinda gay…" So appropriate, all things considered.

More vodka was then drank, although there was still moderation by this point as Flash Gordon made the appearance as threatened promised. I still love that film, although it hurt Clare’s brain with the bad science. I think it just hurt everyone else, although people did laugh at the cheese, Timothy Dalton’s seriousness, the blatant UST between Prince Barin and Flash Gordon and a good time was had by all.

Some people fell asleep by this point. I, on the other hand, was really rather awake as was Clare, Iona and Hannah. I went to get more vodka whilst we discussed ninja nancy-boys, Iona’s new icky obsession, OTCP (One True Canonical Pairing) and singing "Let’s Go Fly A Kite." I swore the vodka wasn’t working, but maybe I was wrong in retrospect.

So, off we all trooped leaving the little ‘uns to sleep whilst we (and Enid too!) went into the dining room and made the posts you saw earlier. We did find it, people, or [livejournal.com profile] mettanna did. Go us her! It is here and I can currently squeeing over it.

Squee!

Anyway. A lot more drink was consumed, and Hannah really is a cheap date. Clare wasn’t far behind, and I’m distressed to see that my reputation as a lightweight has been thrown out of the window. Bollocks! We decided it would be a clever idea to stay around until dawn, and I’m proud to say that we did, although Hannah I think may not have had her eyes open. We played Truth And Truth, which provided some… shocks, to say the least. Hannah really wasn’t well, although she is a fabulous drunk. Iona and Enid, better known as The Sober Ones were the only ones who could really deal with her, as my legs seemed to be quite drunk and Clare was very far gone, much more than me. This is worth pointing out. Whilst Hannah was throwing up in my sink (thank god. It was that or the floor) and Iona and Enid were holding hair back, Clare and I... had a different type of conversation. I was going to keep the entire matter silent unless she spoke first, and luckily, she did. That said, Clare can be mostly blamed. Really. It’s a refreshing change and one that I shall enjoy. We found a different side to everyone, though – many revelations from Enid and Iona, and it was all nice and bonding.

It got to dawn and we sat in the back garden, propping Hannah up as the light crept across the horizon. Unfortunately, it was cloudy so we gave up soon after dawn and off we went to bed. This was at about 5.30am. Hannah passed out on the couch, so we placed a bowl nearby, shifted around and snuggled down for a few hours. I’m worried by the fact we actually woke up quite early and make coffee and tea like civilised people, our state only betrayed by the wince we would give at the mention of food and the desperate grab for our respective caffeine. The little ‘uns slept through all of this crazyness, and in fact slept the longest. We had to kick them up. Although we did probably stand on them during the night, so...

Everyone has now left. I have done the cleaning, too, and we have a bin bag that makes suspicious clinking noises. Fortunately, it’s collection day tomorrow. I also have my Resident Lunatic bracelet – it is pretty and blue and I love it! I like blue things. *grins*

So, yes. I judge the night to be a success, evem if I do feel horribly guilty for giving people more alcohol that I should have. Geeky and alcohol fuelled. Hurrah! I had a good night, and despite it now being the painful Morning After The Night Before I still say I had a laugh. It was... fun. And different. And oh god, people are coming around on Monday again. There was a plan for a barbeque, but not if the weather stays like this…

The new Star Wars will be called Revenge Of The Sith. Heh. I think I might go and watch that in a minute.

EDIT: Sweet Jesus. Lookit what I found! Once More With Hobbits. *dies*

Rebel that I am, I'm having two. (This is because two seperate sets of people, times people can arrive, etc, etc.)

Get me and my funky self! They're only small gatherings, anyway. I'm not cool enough to have big parties.

My liver does not. I can hear it's little screams of "NOOO! NOOO! LET ME SLEEP! NO MORE CAFFEINE OR ALCOHOL, PLEASE!"

Ha. Foolish organ!

Clare and I... did things we possibly shouldn’t have done what with one thing and another.

Oh, so this is what you get when you're the sober one! I can't believe I didn't know about that!

Huh. *pouts*

In other news, I am enjoying Sweet Tranvestite entirely too much.

*groans* I highly doubt that.

Also, meant to say before - the new fixation is not icky - and you may be interested in this.
