Aug. 13th, 2004 03:00 pmColleen - the star. Self-confessed geek and pervert, her enthusiasm and cheerful acceptance of life and its lunacy contribute to her je-ne-sais-quoi star quality. Her occasional segues into rebellion, elvish fantasies and dentistry notwithstanding, she remains a lovable and eccentric central character.
Why my friends are fantastic: The Colleen Show.
Oooh, but I'm tired. And procrastinating, too.
Right now, I have three things I need to be doing;
1. Sorting out Direct Debit for contact lenses
2. Phoning up for driving lessons
3. Ironing
I'm not doing any of them, yet. *shrugs* I'm knackered!
Yesterday, I had to go on a Quest. I had to find The Trafford Centre, which I have never been to before, and I had to do so via the bus system. Eeek! Two hours or so later, I did actually manage it, although I had to go and pick up my contact lenses first. I also have no contact lense solution so I can't put them in yet due to my lack of direct debit stuff. Which is why I need to phone up. Anyway.
It was very good to see
flickerswitch again; she's brown from the trip to Lourdes and still lamenting her loss of internet. We spent the day merrily wandering aroun the Trafford Centre and I succeeded in my plan to spend no money. Apart from an extortionate amount of public transport of course; they're started to question me on my age! Egads! So, spent and evening at Liz's house, she suddenly drags me upstairs, when...
...
mettanna pops up! To the very best of my knowledge, she was still in Scotland, so it was a shock to say the least. And I got a mini-party! I loff my friends. They provided the best of Guns N Roses as well as chocolatey goodness, so we sat in the conservatory until very late in the morning. Except for when we went to find the bus times, which I ended up missing as I was nattering to
osiris13 for a long time, which was enlightening in how far Cornwall is, for a start.
We then played Star Wars. It's inevitable, unfortunately.
Anyway. A very very very long bus journey home this morning and now I am here and feeling generally glowy and... happy. Odd, considering that results day is in a week. Eeeeple. I want to go out in the evening, except it's Dad's birthday. Oh dear. I could go out beforehand, I suppose...
... anyway.
Now I am going to go and brave Ormskirk and possibly the phoneline. *shudder*
