I think we can officially state that I am completely and utterly knurd. It's depressing.
So, yes. Yesterday was my results day. I woke up nice and late and wandered around the house, feeling quite relaxed, which was remarkable in itself. I got some lunch. I continued to feel relaxed. I went to get the bus. I got asked my age! Wheeee!
I stayed relaxed on the bus. Then I starting thinking about university applications and my stomach flipped out and I started to panic. Well, it had to hit me eventually.
So, in I went. I got into the right queue. I even managed to find the right table. I stood in the queue for a little bit longer. I thought I would die and wished desperately for my results. I sat down, and the woman pushed my results across the table.
"Try not to be too upset," I think she said whilst smiling. I wasn't listening. This is my grade markdown, because goddamnit it's my journal AND I CAN.

In all the subjects that count (politics, English Language, media studies and history), in every module, I got an A. I think I'm about to cry just remembering it. I'M NOT STUPID! Sometimes I feel as though I am, but I'm so, so happy about this.
Before you all try and kill me, it's worth pointing out that I got a B in General Studies. Considering that I got an E in the maths sections, it's not too shabby.
I also may have shot myself in the foot by declaring I would only take English Language if I got an A. So... four A-Levels for Colleen.
I can apply for St Andrews now!
*dances dances*
The rest of the day was spent shaking slightly and hugging everyone. To anyone who didn't do as well as expected - erm, I'm crap at knowing what to say, so I will just give many good vibes and stern tellings to concentrate on the good results.
Anyway. The rest of the day passed in something of a blur of alcohol and then I passed out. Fast asleep, it's quite embarrassing. Luckily, I was both at home and on my bed at this point, so that's okay. Waking up fully dressed in an odd sensation.
I also realised that I had a driving lesson. I sobered myself up fairly swiftly with a cup of tea, and toddled out to meet my instructor. Who is called Norman. Hee. Driving is terrifying, though. I did get to drive a little bit, down a quiet road. And argle the car MOVES. I'm not very good. Obviously. Next lesson is on Thursday. Joy and rapture.
Today is Friday, isn't it? Ugh. Grandad is in Wigan for the Southport Flower Show (don't ask. Just don't) and we have to go and have a meal with him. I will smile politely a lot whilst hiding my tongue piercing.
Now, however, I just feel knurd. I've used up too much adreneline in the last few days.
