Sep. 7th, 2004 10:44 amOh, Radio 1 are playing "Somewhere Only We Know" live. *cold shivers*
Last night, I didn't finish my essay. In fact, I had a very scary moment of realisation. "Where are my Blondel notes?" I had the response to them, but I didn't have the actual quotes. No wonder I was having trouble. So, I wasted a day there. Should be better now; with those notes I got a lot done.
Ah, lying to yourself. Such a terrible quality.
After, frankly, giving up for the evening, I went to Rangers. As you do. I eventually decided on Something Corporate "Punk Rock Princess" (although the title is so Mary-Sue) Coldplay "The Scientist" and Placebo "Every Me Every You." Didn't play any of them. Rangers is so clique-y, and I really am the outsider. Couple of people took over the CD player and that was the end of it. Like high school, really. Which is depressing in its own right.
All that said, off to Moot at the weekend. Promises to be great fun. Always is. Missed it last year, so... yay! And Maria isn't going. Ahem.
I liked walking home, though. It's a longish walk down all of Holborn Hill, which is just... loffley. It's shorter to cut across the fields, but that's a somewhat foolish idea in the pitch black. So instead I walked down the main road and sang anyway. I like singing to my MP3 player, because I can't hear myself and I can entertain fantasies that I sound really good. At any rate, I flicked through the player and walking down, bellowed my little heart out to Keane and various Buffy songs. I think I sound best as Buffy. She's reedy and slightly out of key like me.
Anyway.
Now is the morning. I crawled out of bed for a driving lesson, and three seconds later, Normon phoned to inform me it wasn't happening due to issues with the car. Well, that's fine with me; I despise bloody driving. So I went back to bed, but it was too late, I was wide awake. Essay time. Well, after I check my internet stuff. I am currently the Beta Queen! Or it feels like it; quite a few people have recently asked me to, and it's with slight amazement that I notice an e-mail from the webmistress of Heliopolis. My goodness.
Recieved a letter from the National Blood Service. Look, I would like to give blood. Truly. You won't take the damned stuff off me until next July! Dude, take away the piercing rule! There have been no cases of HIV or hepititus being passed on through tattooing or piercing. Honestly. I am slightly chuffed, however, that I have been recognised as "Ms Colleen Cheetham." I am so fed up of being referred to as 'Miss'. I am going to be a Miss for the rest of my existance, so I may as well save trouble now and just call myself Ms. It's logical, in my mind.
Anyway. Essay. College tomorrow. Work tonight. Bleurgh.
