Sep. 27th, 2004 01:44 pmI tried to go to A+E. I was standing there with a phone in one hand and painkillers in the other, and she flat out refused to leave. Completely and utterly. As such, I coldly informed her that if she fell over again I so wasn't going to even bother trying and left her to her own devices.
Came downstairs this morning to find Dad bundled her up for a trip to A+E as she still can't walk. Sometimes, I am totally irriated by my mother. She's such a drama queen! I mean, okay she has problems and whatnot but she won't DO anything about them. Nor will she accept any HELP around the house and then she expects sympathy. I despise martyrdom when you have another choice. Harrumph.
Anyway, if we ignore my mother, the night was... odd. Due to Ron packing in and a dentists appointment, I am now officially not seeing Clare until Friday and I think seperation anxiety may set in. I am used to seeing the Residents on a monthly-at-best basis. Girlfriend is a different kettle of fish. So I stayed up all night watching Gladiator on channel 4 whilst eating chocolate. I do love Gladiator, though. It's wonderfully melodramatic, it's beautifully shot, there's lots of gratuitous violence and I cry like a girl at the end EVERY SINGLE TIME. Because I am, in fact, a big girly wuss.
This morning has been a bit rubbish. Attempts to do history homework failed, what with the lack of the actual essay to work on, so I will be trying to scribble down constitutional experiments of the Interregnum like a busybitch bee. I also have something to do with the American Constitution to worry about - checks and balances of the system and the seperation of power. A fairly large chunk of you lot are from the USA, so any and all help appreciated. I also need to make a start on my UCAS form and really get back into last week's rhythm of doing homework when I get it.
Right. UCAS. Definitely.
And because it's not a post if I don't write it...
ARTHUR: I'm still here.
COLLEEN: Good for you.
BOOTS: Are loose.
ARTHUR: Surprised. You know, if you walk quite slowly and leave them loose this doesn't hurt quite so much...
COLLEEN: PROGRESS I SAY!
