Dec. 4th, 2004 07:47 pmGeneral illness is playing silly buggars. I am Not Amused and would like my white blood cells to do the job they're paid for. In the meanwhile, I'm more or less inhaling Halls Soothers. Jusyhope you can't overdose on them; three packets as of today.
Last night, I had a driving lesson that was just horrible. NEW instructor is called Phil and sems to be an okay sort of bloke. He gave me praise. I nearly passed out with relief. I've never had driving praise before. Egads! Yet, since I was knackered, I came home, missed Guides and finished wrapping the presents I have and writing out Christmas cards. I will send all the ones that need posting on Monday. I then finished reading The Exorcist and went to bed. I actually really liked The Exorcist. It wasn't scary, to my mind, and I don't know why people said ity was blasphemous. *pauses* No, that's not right. I can see why they DID, particulary if you weren't Catholic, but I grew up in a school with Jesuit priests. It's the Catholic SAS, and I'm really not joking there - they were hired to kill Elizabeth I, doncha know. *nods wisely* However, I found the Exorcist to be a sotry about faith and humanity. Okay, the imagery? Understandably nasty. If possible, the vomiting scenes are worse written down. But it needed to be. Believe is Satan, God and the possession all you want or choose not to. When I put it down, to me, the story was about the faith and humanity. Not just Satanism.
So there.
I woke up this morning and nearly died. I was awake, it was 9am and didn't need to be up for another thirty minutes. But I was wide awake nevertheless. I had an opprotuntity to sleep and I didn't take it. Eh? I am Confused. Work was about as much fun as it always was.
And now I am at home, and I am blethering, and I have been doing so in the Phoenix forum just because I can. This post isn't very interesting. Tomorrow, I have to go to my grandmother's house in Dudley, and we will be having a Meal in a pub that's just disgusting and manky. I'm not looking forward to this; I have to leave my warband without guidance since Rob is in Oxford and I am officially quite scared by this idea. Never mind. I ill go and see my grandparents and I will pretend to CARE.
I'm going to go and eat chocolate and drink tea. See you on Monday, kids.

Date: 2004-12-06 11:26 am (UTC)Ye Ende Is Nighe. But they're so nice!
Your reason to overdose on them is much better than my pathetic "But I'm addicted!" reason. That's what I love about LOTR... we all have a story to tell about going to see it for the first time. *grins*
Anyway, I am feeling much better and also going to go cold turkey tomorrow. *panics*
