My computer is being slow. This irritates me beyond belief. Bah.

Yet despite this, I've had a really lovely, warm and generally glowy day. It began with a frankly disturbing dream. The dream started with my abseiling over a multi-coloured roof, and I knocked some tiles off the roof. After Sophie from history picked them up for me, I remembered that I needed some lip gloss. Spike from Buffy promptly offered me some.

"It's apple-sauce flavour!" he cheerfully told me.

The dream meandered on, involved a train to Lithuania with Dominic Monaghan in which I inisted that I had to go, I was going to be late for a party. "Oh, that's just a dream," he told me. I woke up in a cold sweat when the alarm went off, unsure of hat exactly reality WAS.

After this, I arose, dressed, and just as I was leaving, El Parento arrived from Consultation Evening.

- Teachers appear to like me.
- Media teacher believes I am sociological loner with only one friend. Liz, feel special, but he also seems to think we're having an illicit affair and I'm wildly jealous...
- Fran only thinks I'll get a B in the English exam in January. I consider this a challenge, frankly.

On the bright side, all seemed to go well. As such, I nanced off to Ormskirk and met [livejournal.com profile] jessie_wessy more commonly referred to as Jess. And off we went to Liverpool! First though, we decided to be ladies (many Little Britain comments were made) and Did Lunch. Except, being cheap students, we Did Lunch in Pizza Hut. We then meandered around most if not all of Liverpool in our hunt for Christmas presents. I am pleased to say that I have now succeeded, and all I need to purchase about three things and I'm all done. I am also really rather poor, so I will probably not be my usual drunken self on Saturday night. Jess also got me an early Christmas present - I am the proud owner of a pair of blue and black stripey hobo gloves. They are the exact shade of the Phoenix Militia colours and, y'know, they're hobo gloves. I was muchly amused and they are very comfortable. Since Jess and I finished off early, we went back to mine, put on the cheesy Magic channel and listened to Christmas songs wholst straightening my hair.

See, I am going out tomorrow night and I am Making An Effort. As such, my hair has been straightened because I'm fed up with it always being the same. I cannt describe how curly, thick and frizzy my hair is. There really are not enough swear words in my vocabulary, and that's saying something. Jess, however, reckoned it was an interesting challenge.

Two and a half hours later, she sat back and swore at me. "Colleen, just shave it off. How do you LIVE with this hair?"

"With considerable patience."

However, it is now... well... straight. In my definition of straight. It's definitely still thick and flyaway, but if I give it another going over tomorrow after my cold bath (moisture must not touch my hair! At all!) it should be passable. I didn't realise how long my hair is. IT's going past my shoulders! Methinks it is time to cut it.

Driving tonight was abysmal - parallel parking. That says it all.

Guides was also appalling. Bah, I say, bah.

And now I am off to bed or something similiar. Tomorrow, darlings, I shall be at work/making myself look FABULOUS/getting lost with pr0n boots and Hannah in Liverpool. Despite a growing backlog of homework, I'm happy.
