Aftr my spammage yesterday, I'm trying to be more restrained today, but all these ideas just keep on popping into my brain, but alas, I cannot express them with particular style or panache. Sorry, all.

So, yesterday evening I sat down with my Intellectual Holiday Reading. I spent all of summer putting of Dorian Gray, and yesterday I read it. Has anyone else read it and can they explain it to me? My head is actually hurting from the sheer effort of the prose which is almost poetry. I can graps the ideas, the concepts, fairly easily, but... well, it's like being Dorian and I suppose that's the point. These ideas just spiral into my brain and make me look at the world differently. It's really quite the head trip.

I had to put it down after 100 pages, and I am limiting myself to another 50 tonight.

In more fangirly news, it appears that HBP will be out July 16th. Whilst I am obviously excited, I'm not as fangirly as everyone else just yet. Why? Dude, that's MONTHS away. I will be excited in July.

So, I woke up this morning and wandered around the house aimlessly, read [livejournal.com profile] moralanqua's journal (E. Gads. OSA Bitches get over and read it) and have been flicking through the TV channels. You know what this year was really, really good for? Music, that's what. I ws talking to Jess about this the other day, and my suspicions are confirmed: this has been a fucking ace year for music. Betwen all the Best Of and the Pop Idols and the X-Factors, we've had Keane. We've got Goldie Looking Chain (who I unashamedly adore). We've had Franz Ferdinand for chrissakes. And they say music is dead? I watched the Top 50 Best Songs thingie on VH2 and it's all rather good, by my logic.

According to [livejournal.com profile] balthaser we've had an earthquake. I am inclined to believe this, as we had a similiar thing around here at the time she mentioned (sudden feeling like a lorry or a door slamming) and the dog barked and went nuts. Hmmm.

I'm fed up of the post being a daily terror. I just heard the flap go and nearly died of fear. For a start, I should be getting a letter from UCAS about Stirling, and it's better to know about the other offers, but nooo. I'm still curling up and dying inside everytime the letter box rattles. Bah.

This post is very very odd and fragmented all over the place. Sorry. I am going to go and do the washing now. Then maybe start some revision.

*flails* I love Dorian Gray. I had to read and re-read and re-re-read it to get my head around it, though. It's the only book that ever made my heart actually beat faster, and it isn't even a book with a particularly large amount of action in it.

I know, but the brain, she hurts at the intellectual level! Knew there was a reason I avoided English Lit like the plague since I finished GCSEs...
