Nan and Grandad are at Church, Mum is peeling sprouts with a maniacal gleam in her eye (I backed out of the kitchen slowly), Dad is off somewhere being Dad and Megan has a new mobile phone and is tapping away merrily. It takes photos. I am not amused by this, since this morning I was attired in purple checked pajamas. Since I was 2 I've always had new Christmas pajamas, and this year was no exception. Photos are bad. This post is disjointed.
I came on to say the following:
1. Getting pissed with grandparents? Entertaining to say the least.
2. Christmas morning? Less entertaining, but quite good haul this year - complete geek out of DVDs (Harry Potter, Shaun Of The Dead, Star Wars and EXTENDED EDITION. As I have for the last two years, I will be up until 3am watching it) CD goodness (Placebo, Marilyn Manson and also Keane) and, most importantly, my pleas for the George Forman have been listened to. I will be in university with cheese toastie capacity.
I'm incoherantly tired. I should have gone back to bed rather than get dressed, but it's too late now. The house smells of turkey, as it is SEVENTEEN POUNDS and has been cooking since SIX AM.
Anyway. I wish I had something useful to say, but I don't. Other than Merry Christmas, but I said that yesterday. I don't feel Christmassy at all, but the weatherman promises a white Christmas. That would be truly fabulous if it turns up. Fingers crossed it will.
On the bright side, amusing new icon. Huzzah!
