And now I am slightly calmer than yesterday.

You have to understand that anything - anything - between Megan and I is blown out of proportion more than an ill-timed comment between Palestine and Israel. Yesterdays bone of contention? The computer. The thing is, I was used to having the computer to myself at my own timing - fandom started at 13 for me, just after we first got the internet. Now she is using MSN quite a lot, supposedly to talk to her friends from school. You know, the people she sees every day and spends every waking minute of the phone to. At first, my logic was simply 'Bitch, please!' She sees these people EVERY DAY and besides, she can go on while I'm still at college - she's home HOURS before I am!

Due to intervention by my mother, the agreement is now that one before goes on first, after tea until 8.30, and the next has the rest of the evening. Quite often, she uses the computer long, long over her time, but so do I, so apart from the occasional bawling match bought on by hormones of her side or mine, that's the end of it. Generally, I go on second because her friends are 'on earlier' and it's not such an issue for me - all I want to do is check LJ and whinge about my day!

Yesterday, she comes up to me. "Colleen, can I go on second?"

"No. I'm revising and my brain stops working around 8. If I go on first I won't do any revision because my brain will stop working entirely."

"But... Helen and Trish! - will be on at 8! I'll only have HALF AN HOUR that way!"

Mum compromises (forcefully - it's a brave daughter to argue with my mother) by giving Megan until 9 and me any time after that. I'm not happy, but I put up with it because I do need to revise. Mum's logic is thus: "Megan, you've been with these people ALL DAY."

Harrumph.

Last night, my dog was really rather ill. A brief description of the layout of my house is needed here. The bottom floor has a hall which leads, by a door, to the living room with stretches across the house. Turn a corner and you have the kitchen, but turn a little bit and you have the dining room, which is an extension built by the old owners with patio boors out to the garden in it. It also contains the computer. Due to the dog being ill, I was running in an out of the dining room to get the dog outside in time. I don't need to draw a picture. As I came in at 8.50, I warned MEgan she had ten minutes, and maybe she should start saying bye.

She got off the computer at 9.15. I was NOT FUCKING AMUSED. She already HAD an extra HALF AN HOUR. This sounds like a very small thing, but she was talking to eight or ten people, ergo NOT just 'Helen and Trish!' and methinks she was partaking in the horror of cybersex. Oh, god oh god oh god. So I was pissy last night, and the world is generally just not good. I can't wait to move out.

Today, I am so tired that I think I might die. To improve matters just a teeny bit, I have an English mock all the way through lunch. w00t.

Oh, and http://www.livejournal.com/users/news/82926.html Anyone know how I can back up my journal? Jutst on the off chance?

I am technological dunce, but two people have told me about Six About now. Hurrah!

She's already planning the redecoration of my room and knocking the wall through so she has a bigger bedroom. I'm not sure she's grasped that I have to come back at Christmas, Easter and summer!
