I feel marginally proud of myself. Last night, I went out to see OCean's 12 with Christine, and I can't describe how awful that film was, weird headfuckery with Julia Roberts aside. Oddly enough, though, it was fun. So was the sandwich afterwards, where we got harrassed by a drunkard. I feel now is the time to describe my accent. Normal!Colleen's accent wanders happily through Merseyside and Greater Manchester, more or less depending on company, but has a fair heaping of Estuary English (semi-formal English) thrown in for good measure, making me sound Posh. For around here, anyway. However, when I am talking to someone who unnerves me, my accent automatically jumps about 100 miles South. Christine boggled at me as I informed the drunkard that the afternoon had been "Quite pleasant, thank you very much."

Anyway. We then went for a drink in a scary old man pub ("this is a LOCAL pub for LOCAL people...") but considering that I drink in the Plough, I have no criticisms. And then I went home on the bus. Despite having had one drink, I am oen of life's lightweights, deep down. I decided not to do my homework, as this would be a silly idea and result in bad, bad coursework.

Half an hour later I had panicked and realised that I had done very little of my long, long list of Things To Do, so I did my history coursework, reasoning that as a first draft, I didn't really care that much. I was due to write 900 words, and I wrote 928 before finishing and falling asleep. I feel very proud in that I've actualy done it. After this, I'm off to start my English coursework, and then I am going out with [livejournal.com profile] hammer_strike, who I have missed far more than I should. Yay me!

And tomorrow? A partial Resident Lunatic meet-up in the evening, to go and see Closer. Admittingly it's entirely selfish, because I need to go and get test photos for media coursework, but it will be nice to spend some time together. Even if Enid is off at a Dresden Dolls gig and Emily is off in London. *sighs* I feel quite proud to have actually managed to get it organised, admittingly by nagging Hannah, tempting her, then getting her to do the same to Iona, and then me ringing Clare and getting her to cancel overtime. BUT I'VE DONE IT, BY GUM.

Now... to catergorising English! Would anyone be interested in seeing my final draft, when and if I finish it? A comparison of Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets and The Hobbit to see how both create tension in the scene with the spiders...

Oh, I'd like to see it. So I can steal ideas. Just for geekery's sake. When's your deadline, by the way? Astoundingly, mine is in just over a week and a half! I really didn't know that until recently, so much panicking is ensuing. It means that I have three coursework deadlines in two weeks, as well as a drama exam and an interview. Oh, happy days.

Ocean's Twelve was weird. I think I shall go and make an update too...
