Mar. 4th, 2005 02:54 pmAfter the most godwawful, horrible, stressful day of DEATH finally finally finally karma is behaving itself. It started improving when we spent much of lunchtime singing Phantom Of The Opera, loudly and out of tune (with new alternative ending, in which Christine smacks Raoul - blame Lucy, who is sitting next to me) and the atmosphere lightened a bit, despite having to Go And See Fran regarding my English. By the way, I have finished by bastarding horrible excuse for English coursework, and now I just probably have to re-write it, but for now, let me enjoy the feeling that it is, at least, finished. I also finished my history last night, but alas, that needs to also be redone. How depressing. I am also very narked at Dave for not telling me about then changes until now, my fourth draft.
So, I sail into media, happy, for it is a Friday and life is slowly improving, and Edinburgh is PANTS anyway, etc, etc. (I'd like to thank you all for last night, by the way. It helped) I jump onto this computer, and on the off chance I zip onto UCAS, now certain it won't say anything. After all, I checked this morning.
ST ANDREWS - CONDITIONAL OFFER
Being surrounded by people, I yelped, made happy bouncing noises, and then checked the offer. AAB. Oh, balls, and that A has to be in history. Now I have to actually apply myself! And you know what? I don't care.
Oh my sweet Mary mother of Jesus, I got an offer! FOR ST ANDREWS! YES!
*dances* I cannot describe how overjoyed I am. This is just scarily brilliantly amazing. Suspect may now curl up into a corner and tell everyone I know. Phone has chosen now to me awkward and stop working, but I managed to tell Dad on the home phone. YAAAAAAAAAAAAY.
ST ANDREWS! YES!

Date: 2005-03-04 04:54 pm (UTC)Yes, I have been
somewhat stalking youchecking occasionally to see how things were going with your application. Very happy for you - this is a fun, if very very random place! And yes, Edinburgh sucks. The city is fine, but the uni...not so much. St Andrews is by far superior!
