Mar. 23rd, 2005 03:15 pmSo, the last few days promised to be filled with fic reading, industrial working and generally nothing much. How wrong I was.
Tuesday started as I meant it to. I slept in after having a weird apocolyptic dream involving running away from... something, not sure what, in my leaver's do dress, high heels and desperately trying to pack. Hmmm. I went into Ormskirk, purchased birthday type stuff for Jess and Mum and then wandered to a library and try and kill some boredom. The library lady loked at me sympathetically and told me that my card had been taken off the database, it was that old. Alas, my geek credibility is all gone! I then came home and was kidnapped by Andrew, and we ended up going to see Constantine. God, it was a good film. Completely involving, I didn't want to smash Keanu's face in with a baseball bat, and I'm always a sucker for religious fantasy and apocolyptic stuff. Lucifer was really well played, and I loved the way that the demons were all dark sensuality (by the way, Constantine/Balthaser=OTP) and the angels (or the one we saw) was wonderfully asexual. I loved it and would quite like to see it again.
AND we saw
katies_2k with her new boyshape! It was bloody wonderful to see Katie again, actually, as I haven't seen her for a very long time I could feel her quivering in fear as the Ring 2 trailer came on as well. *cowers* I am not going to see that film. At all. However, the film ended a grand total of 30 minutes before I was due at work so I couldn't stay and chat. Gnargh.
This morning I was going to get up, see Jess and give her a birthday present and go out tonight. However, the plan was altered a little along the way. Instead, I woke up, saw Jess, gave her a birthday present and have just been out for a pub lunch, which was muchos fun. I'm going back again tonightto get absolutely wasted to have a few drinks for her actual birthday. I fully appreciate thatr my grand total of cash at the moment works out to be about £60 and it's my Collectormania fund, but if I spend about £5 I should be okay. I don't think I can afford Collectormania. Yet again. Bollocks. I have two paydays between then, so we'll just wish and hope that I don't end up spending too much money in the next month...
Ho hum. Onwards with making the tea!

Date: 2005-03-23 08:47 pm (UTC)I'm in two minds about whether to see Constantine; I've heard such mixed reviews both from friends and critics that it may well be a Go And See For Thyself movie.

Date: 2005-03-24 05:24 pm (UTC)I loved Constantine. I think it's absolutely fabulous. I also think that Flash Gordon is absolutely fabulous, as a word of warning.
