Apr. 1st, 2005 02:22 pmSo, last night I ended up getting really involved writing my media coursework. Who'd have thunk it? The plan is to finish it today, as Megan is at the hairdressers. Mum has caved and agreed to pay for my haircut on the basis that she'd fed up of me shedding everywhere. A anyone who has ever met me or seen a picture of me will realise, I have the most incredibly thick, curly hair. I haven't been near a hairdressr for eighteen months now and everytime I pull the comb through it - which has to be done only when wet because I can't get a comb ro brush through otherwise - I end up pulling out enough hair to make a small rug. As such, Mum is willing to get me back to the point where much of my hair is sliced off and shaped around my head and it's all just gorgeous. I do like having short hair, but I despise going to the hairdressers... back to being Hobbity Colleen as of next Thursday, though. YAY ETC.
That was a long ramble, wasn't it?
Last night, after giving up on media for the evening, I almost stepped into the bath when Grandad phoned. Obviously I didn't know who was phoning until I picked it up, so I was faced with the rathr odd situation of talking to my grandfather whilst stark naked. Admittingly, he in on the other side of the country, but it was still odd. I ended up wrapping a towel around myself out of a strange sense of shame. I told him about my theory test (booked! 20th April! 8.15am! KILL ME NOW) and about how Mum still hasn't recieved a birthday card from her Mum. He ranted, which proves that many years on, you can still see why they got divorced. I had barely crawled back into the now lukewarm bath when Mum cane home...
Anyway. Now it is Friday, I really haven't done any of my homework yet which is started to worry me slightly, and I have a pretty piece of jewellery in my navel which is started to hurt quite a bit more. OW.
Erm, and to prove that I'm not entirely ego-centric, the Pope is dying. More so than usual, obviously, since he has the recieved the last rites. In all seriousness, whilst I hope his passing is swift and painless and that he recieves rewards in heaven etc etc I also sincerely hope we get a more liberal Pope. Fingers crossed.
OHMYGOD! Don't die, anyone (thank god
loneraven isn't in the country, we need to tell her this gently) but Antony Steward Head is coming to C7! Also Corin Nemec, but been there, done that, offered cookies...
