Jan. 9th, 2011 10:17 pmI had the world's most lovely day yesterday. I went to Manchester with
loneraven who I have known for TEN YEARS WHAT THE HELL and
tau_sigma, who cheerfuly informed us that our friendship was about to take SATs.
In all seriousness, it was the most lovely of lovely days. We drank lots of caffiene, wandered around Affleck's Palace and peered at Pacman jewellery and tiny tiny goth children (once I was that small), and just talked. I forgot what an appealing activity that actually can be.
In the evening, Iona and I ended up going for dinner in Liverpool, sharing a bottle of wine before striding off in a mostly steady way to our respective trains.
It was, as I said, the most lovely day I've had in a long time, freezing weather and rain aside.
Today I have rather a lot to do. I have one of those online assessment things to complete today (no mention of calculators, so fingers crossed!), the ENTIRE HOUSE to clean as it is filthy, to go to the gym as I've been once in the last month and this is bad economy, and to nip to my parents to pick up my post so I can pay off my credit card bill.
I don't regret, though, that I didn't do any of this yesterday, nor that I spent twelve hours asleep last night. These are the things are are good for the soul.
