Spam, spam, spam, spam...

There are some ridiculously happy songs on the radio. I think they know. Today, I finished English Language FOREVER. I have struggled with this subject, on and off, for eighteen months now, and I've hated pretty much every minute. Seriously, it has been quietly ruining my life. I shouldn't have taken it for the second year (although in retrospect, have failed media, so maybe I should have done) but I am so, so glad it's all over.
And the exam? Wasn't too bad. The first section was pretty idiot proof - I chose question 1, with the transcript and Olivia and the cute - and the second section was all about food. I hadn't had any breakfast. It's like they were mocking us. (For those confused, there are two sections and you have to do a question from each.) The first was on spam - seriously - and the etymological history as well as semantic change.
The first thing I thought when I saw that question was "Heh. Monty Python." Little did I know that Monty Python was in fact a source. I nearly died giggling. Then I saw the other question - comparing two recipes for curry, one from 1747 and one from 1998 - and did that one instead. It was much more do-able, and I wrote pretty much until the last second. But I did finish, and I'm all chuffed, I really am.
So, all I have to do now is politics unit 7. I need to somehow remember the course, but yes, I feel almost almost free. I can see the daylight at the end of the tunnel, and it's really not a train. I am so, so close to freedom. It's wonderful.
The only really irritating part is that I have to go in tomorrow all day. I can't get a lift home and I promised Lucy that I'd stay in with her. I may take a bottle of wine in with me and get sloshed in the afternoon.
I phoned up about the cleaning job, by the way. They have my form and are phoning me tomorrow. When I am out all day. *facepalm* Sods law, that.
Just one day to go. Just one.
