Aug. 4th, 2005 03:12 pmI had a really long and rather good post and LJ just ate it. Not impressed. The basic gist was that through some miracle, I managed to pick up both
bohemia_thinker and
rhaeselon and successfully find
kestrel_de_hara's house and had a pleasent evening there watching the cat eat pizza. Adam lookd like Ron Weasley in dress robes
Well, imagine Ron skinnier and taller with black hair and odd socks.

and I was sober ALL NIGHT. We even managed to make it home, too, despite having to do a big loop so that I didn't get too confused driving in the dark. Good-o, etc.
Today I even got up on time, despite getting through the door at about 12.30am. Work would have been awful, but luckily Jenny and Kerry stopped me from beating Sandra to death with a toilet brush. If Sandra is so desperate to clean, she should have applied for the housekeeper job. A bit of help is fine and appreciated, but ordering five toilet brushes in and making me look stupid in front of Gary The Oddjob Man is not.
"Toilet brushes? What's the occasion?"
"Your unit ordered them... I presumed it came from you."
"No, I didn't. I mean, I'll take them..."
Fortunately, a glorious bitch at her expense in the break made me feel much better.
Anyway, it is now Thursday and I feel all flail-y. I have lots to do and nothing to do. I also realised that it's my birthday in a week and results day in two weeks. Scary biscuits. It feels as though I have nothing to look forward to, although I blatently do. Should book a mini-bus for birthday night out. To the Yellow Pages!
ETA: Well, there's my birthday buggared up. Best quote I got was £140 for a 12 setaer coach. That means, if I split it, about £11 each - that's too much to ask everyone to pay on top of how much a night-out costs as it is.
Looks as though I'm going to Liverpool, instead, because there's not even a late train or bus service going anywhere near where I need to. Taxis from Liverpool aren't too horrendous, I suppose. And I know for a fact there's a few gay bars somewhere.
Hmmph. Anyone know a cheaper way to get to Manchester from Ormskirk other than the train that leaves early?
