Aug. 30th, 2005 02:34 pmSo, I have an address All Of My Own. I will spend next year living in a house in Albany Park with five other people, two toilets, one shower, one kitchen and one living room.
Oh, hell. This is all rather scary. But yet, exciting as I have CHEAP AS FUCK housing and I may just be able to scrape a year without a job. This is a Very Good Thing and makes me gleeful.
[edit: Just got the following description of 'Gatty' which is apparently the nickname for Albany: Heh, Gatty parties are not Gatty parties unles someone flies through a window, on fire and is naked. Really. Or Tesco Value Whiskey is involved.
Sounds about right.]
Having an address of my own is an entirely terrifying different kettle of fish. Nevertheless, I'm les excited than I thought I would be. We are currently in the middle of a Major Family Drama. Fortunately, I am completely not involved at all, but I have an uncomfortable feeling but current tendancies of nancing off until the very wee hours (seriously, it was light when I got in on my last night out) probably don't help. It's all complicated and revolves around the fact that Megan appears to have invited back A Boy for when my parents are away this weekend, which has resulted in mass panic and fear from my mother and father because, y'know, she's 15 and only just 15 at that. There was an awful lot of shouting last night, basically resulting in Megan angrily using me as an example.
Okay, to be fair? Lot older than 15 when I started doing the whole reomance thing and even then I wasn't lying to my parents about bringing them back and definitely wasn't drinking at 15. 16 now, that's a whole different age and I was in college by then ANYWAY.
However. All of this is not the point. The general gist is that they are now possibly taking Megan away with them, but again, I'm not sure what is going on anymore and I'm unwilling to start an argument again just so that I can find out. [edit: turns out she's staying afterall. Buggar.] I heard my Dad shouting last night, which I haven't heard for years. It's almost scary, although I do feel a tad smug because I, at least, am The Good Daughter.
Oh well. I'm going out tomorrow night and I will bloody well make sure that I am back at a sensible time. Also, I have work, so I really should. Speaking of work, I was askd if I was hungover again. This is possibly a bad trend to be in. Yet, fun.
I have really rather a lot of stuff to do for university. And lo! for I shall do it. Also, I will stop saying And lo! because really, it's beginning to annoy me as well.
