All is well and good and rather fantastic in the life of Colleen. I am unaccountably exhausted, but honestly, I don't care. It's fab.

So, yesterday I went to Liz's after some entertainment with trying to find a top that actually fitted and to make matters worse, I had no sense of where I was going AT ALL.

Nevertheless, I want to point out that after lots of gibbering and peering at the map in confusion and swearing at other drivers, I actually made it to Leigh and sang along delightedly to myself when I went past Liz's road. "I've staggered drunkenly down here before!" I thought to myself as I actually found the pub and perched outside for a little bit until the birthday girl herself appeared. Cue exhanging of birthday gifts. She'd got me the Dawn Of The Dead re-make (YAY) and Kill Bill Part 2, and I'd got her 28 Days Later and a little notebook.

"Yay!" she said happily. "I can write porn in this!"

"AND THAT IS WHY I BOUGHT IT!" I exclaimed back, and showed her the note I'd written to that effect on the front. Oh, it was all good fun, no matter how much we COMPLETELY TERRIFIED everyone else by squeeing over plastic pink flamingoes and AC/DC and Smach My Bitch Up. Oh, god, the madness that is me and Liz. I'd really missed her, too, although she got steadily more pissed while us sober drivers sat around and watched everyone else. Lucy, Little Jess, Becky Y and Phil were all there, which again was lovely. I wish I didn't have to leave so early, but I had to go home and be a responsible sister and keep on eye on Megan. I did get pizza on the way back, though, as I was so hungry that I was about to start gnawing ont he steering wheel. OH FOR I AM A REBEL. Megan apparently barely noticed me coming in and merrily ignored me until she deigned to wake me up. At 12.30pm.

Um...

This didn't stop me lying in bed and watching the first of the Firefly DVDs I've been meaning to for a while. They're really rather good, aren't they? *squees with [livejournal.com profile] jennnlee* Despite all this slobbing around, though, I'm exhausted. Other than Joan, the most taxing thing I've done all day is look up some Sindarin for a very long and convulted fanfic. Speaking of fanfic, oh buggar, still have Minor Characters Ficathon thing On The Go. Oh, crumbs.

Anyway. That was an entirely pointless segue. Sorry.

The day meandered on slowly and decadently, mostly involving me slobbing around in my pajamas until [livejournal.com profile] zeta_of_s turned up as promised to sort out Joan. I am not currently on Joan as I need to get some decent anti-viral software for her first, but I plan on sorting that out on Monday. It's all good.

So yes, life appears to be rather good at the moment. I have training tomorrow which should be interesting enough and yes, I am really rather inexpicably happy at the moment. I love life when it's like this; I like me now I feel like this. It's lovely when the world just seems hoopy and fuzzy and tingly. I mean, I'm not entirely sure about this post - it's probably entirely inappropriate given world events, but I'm feeling somewhat self-centred at the moment. I know I shouldn't, I really do, but I just feel. So I do.

And I'm singing along shamelessly to The Proclaimers, too.

I think it might all be down to my liver growing back, thinking about it.

really rather good, aren't they?

'Bout damn time, is all I have to say. And also, squeee! :-)

And I love that song. Am going to need to get a copy of it soon now, as you've now got it stuck in my head. "Oh, I would walk five hundred miles..."

They're fab. If I watch an episode a day, I can have the lot done by the time I get to university, which will be good fun all round.

Give me your e-mail addy, and I'll e-mail the song along! EVERYONE needs a point in their day to bellow along "DAHNAHANAHNAH!" as loudly as possible in a dodgy Scots accent. (Although generally we did it in a friiend's car in a darkened country lane after going to a gig. Good times.)

jeneral at gmail dot com. My Scots accent is as dodgy as they come, but it gets better when I sing that song. :-)
