in this sweet surrender
Sep. 16th, 2005 10:29 am[A very happy and late birthday to
jennnlee, for she is Most Marvellous and also fantastic.]
I have Shiny And New Hair and I am most proud of it. I cannot frind the digital camera so I cannot show you a picture, so I will try and describe.
Firstly, they did foils, which is a cunning combination of highlights and lowlights. Do I know what colours they were going to use? No. After two hours of this (including drying and washing out time) I was informed "Oooh, they look really nice!"
Well, I couldn't see them and began to panic. Then the blonde started to come through and I really panicked. Fortunately, the violets and the reds then started to show up and oh god they all look FABULOUS. They really, really do. She then attacked me with some scissors and made it all short and choppy again, and then she straightened it and did soething fabulous to it. I do not know what or how, and I know I will never replicate it. No one ever saw it, as it was raining in that horrible misty way and made my hair go BOOM. But it's still rather pretty and I like it. Yes. *pets it*
Erm, what I'm trying to dance around here is the fact that uhmuhguh I am leaving tomorrow. I fail atlife packing. I have so much to do that it's a tiny little bit terrifying, and did I mention that I'm leaving tomorrow? At stupid o clock in the morning? I have to pack properly and put stuff is bags and boxes and oh god now I'm panicking.
Also, this post has a practical purpose. Those who have met me will know that I am entirely and completely useless. Now, we all knew that anyway. However, I am particularly useless at installing shiny computer things. I do not know when I will next get on LJ, as I have a heap of stuff to do today. Such as:
1. Pack clothes
2. Sort out bags o' kitchen stuff
3. Sort out car
4. Go and see Simon
5. Not cry
6. Do washing
There's an awful lot more, they're just the immediate concerns. Also, I need to apolgoise to my mother. Through an amusing series of events, my phone more or less ran out of battery yesterday and I sincerely hope my text message of "Staying out all night, back in morning!" got through to her. Otherwise she will kill me with knives because she'll have left the hall light on all night, yes.
However, all is not doom and gloom. Not only do I have shiny new hair entirely worth the four hours in the hairdressers (by god I wish I was joking) but yesterday was absolutely fabulous. There was a distinctly wobbly bit in the middle, but it perked up, what with the whole 'staying out all night' thing and I can't think of a decent way to end this post properly.
Erm. So. Off to university. Hopefully my technical incompetence will not mar me from getting online. I hope I have a geeky housemate to help me out.
Gosh, I am a whirlwind of emotions today. I have no idea what to pick for my mood. Ecstatic? Tired? Worried? LET ME PICK ALL THREE, DAMN YOU LJ.

Date: 2005-09-16 08:18 pm (UTC)You'd be surprised how easy it is to stop worrying about things when you're too tired to care anymore. So by the time you're on your way it'll be alright. :P
I've got your mobile, so I may end up making use of it if you don't get on Lj enough.
