tell the reaper man and the stars above
Sep. 27th, 2005 03:23 pmI have worked out how to do my Spanish homework, which is bringing me some joy and results in me wanting to dance a little bit. Alas, I cannot print it off (alas!) but I will try doing so later on. I am also very slowly learning some Spanish rules when it comes to speaking and stuff, but it's all good, I suppose. I am resisting the urge to run around in a small circle with my hands flapping, as I Can Do This. I have hordes of reading to do (and spent an obscene amount of money on books) but I Can Do This. I can. I have to.
Allowing silly little things like being dreadfully ill (I had to stop three times for a rest on the walk home, just because I was carrying four bags of books and shopping. That is not good) and the fact I can't actually breathe very well due to the fact the wind is knocking the breath out of me is counter-productive. These things will pass. University, however, is four years long and I may as well get my teeth into it now.
Of course, this all may be a moot point if my loan doesn't turn up soon. I have, like, rent to pay and no loan with which to pay it.
However! The plumber just arrived (after twenty minutes of banging the door of the office and eventually phoning the David Russell Apartments to bitch at the self-catering warden) and we now have hot water. I will go and shower. Soon.
To Do:
1. Put potatoes in for tea
2. Do Spanish reading AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN UNTIL I KNOW IT
3. Sort medieaval history stuff.
4. Do modern history reading.
5. Have shower
6. Write letters - recieved one this morning from
loneraven that was absolutely hysterical, and I want to reply to now, but I don't know her Oxford address, curses...
Also, I bought a box of sixteen paracetamol for 16p. A penny a pill. This is impressive. And they are working, too. HURRAH FOR STUDENTDOM.
