Sep. 29th, 2005 03:24 pmSpanish broke my brain.
That is all.
Sorry about the wibble last night. To make myself feel better (I'm such a nerd) I went to DocSoc last night, and lo! it ws brilliant. Okay, generic feelings of inadequacy weren't aided by the fact the meeting took place in the ballroom of Hamilton Hall (egads) but the people were lovely, and most importantly, I got to see The Ark In Space. It's so cheesy. Seriously, dude, it is. They made the aliens with green bubble wrap. The whole room was howling with laughter. It was good and warm and glowy, strangely. I missed Tom Baker and Sarah Jane. AND OH OH OH just for the line "Harry only works on sailors."
Speaking of being warm and glowy, I haven't eaten any lunch yet due to bizarre timetable of doom today, so I am off to re-heat last night's tea. (I was half way through it when the phone rang and promptly forgot all about it as I ran around like grinning due to phone call and DocSoc). I am a classy lady. I know this.
And then, I am going to clean. Because our house? FILTHY. And everyone else is either out or doing work. Given that I am a lazy arts student with what seems like nothing to do (it's confusing, really) I am going to do the cleaning. But not the cooking. I've cooked for the last two nights and now I am on strike. I am. I really am.
1. What is your occupation?
Professional dosser, technically referred to as a student. I am actually blissfully unemployed right now. What do I want to do eventually? No idea.
2. What color is your underwear?
*looks*
Blue.
3. What are you listening to right now?
Damien Rice - The Blower's Daughter
4. What was the last thing you ate ?
Re-heated slice of Four Cheese Pizza and potato wedges.
5. Do you wish on stars?
Yes. They're so beautiful here - the night sky is incredibly visable, particularly on the beach.
6. If you were a crayon, what color would you be?
Blue, most likely.
7. How is the weather right now?
Actually, it's quite sunny and the wind has died down. Bloody freezing, though, and grey clouds are dotted about.
8. Last person you spoke to on the phone?
Simon, last night. I phoned him.
9. Do you like the person who sent this to you?
Yes. She is most fab.
10. Favourite clothes?
Jeans, definitely.
11. Favorite drink?
Vodka and orange, with both parts chilled BUT NO ICE. There's something special about a good glass of red wine, too.
12. Favorite sport to watch?
Rugby.
13. Have you ever dyed your hair?
Yup. Once purple, red quite a bit last summer, and now it has both components in it through the Miracle Of The Hairdresser.
14. Do you wear contacts or glasses?
Glasses. Contacts scare me immensely.
15. Pets?
No. We are debating buying a live lobster and keeping it in the recycling bin which can be filled with water. If anyone comes around to complain, we'll object that we're about to eat it.
Also, the mental image of letting a lobster run around the kitchen is far too funny.
16. Favorite month?
August. Good things seem to happen in it all of a sudden.
17. Favorite food?
I'd give me soul for a Chinese takeaway at the moment.
18. What was the last movie you watched?
Not a clue. I may, however, be going to see Pride And Prejudice with Lisa this weekend.
19. Favorite day of the year?
Let me see... *does some mental calculation*
Nope, not a clue.
20. What do you do to vent anger?
Hit people with sticks. Write whiny LJ posts. Write in general. Do the cleaning.
21. What was your favorite toy as a child?
Can't remember.
22. Fall or Spring?
Autumn, definitely. It's pretty. Good things happen in it.
23. Hugs or kisses?
Right now I really want a hug, but the right kind of kiss is better.
24. Cherry or Blueberry?
I cannot stand EITHER. *gags*
(apparently, this is question 25, 26, 27, and 28 rolled into one) Living arrangements?
At term-time, I live in a self-containedbox sorry, house, with five other girls. I have a fairly spacious room to myself. At the holidays, I live with El Familio.
29. When was the last time you cried?
This morning, as I felt awful because I hadn't replied to something and I was running late. I cry a lot, though - it doesn't take a lot to get me down.
30. What is on the floor of your closet?
*looks* Shoes. Lots of them.
31. Who is the friend you've had the longest?
Probably Jess. I miss her.
32. What did you do last night?

My Spanish tutor. Drifting apart.
35. Plain, cheese or spicy hamburgers?
Neither - don't eat red meat.
36. Favorite car?
Much as I love my Starbug, I'd kill for a Corsa.
37. Favorite dog breed?
Labrador. I miss the dog.
38. How many keys are on your ring?
Lessee... car key, car alarm key, window lock for home window and room door key.
39. How many years at your current job?
Barely a month as a Professional Dosser.
40. Favorite day of the week?
Loving the Fridays at the moment.
41. How many states have you lived in?
Buggar all. We call them counties, darling.
42. How many cities have you lived in?
One, and I'm living in it. St Andrews is legally a city, despite being smaller than Ormskirk.
Bored...
