Tutorials have also broken my brain. (Five until SIX on a Thursday, oh, god.) So has Spanish. I'm breaking into the last of our cognac supplies tonight. It is a Friday and as such, we all deserve it.
Seriously, Spanish, when one is Northern, adds a whole new twist o' doom. You have extra stuff to pronounce that you just don't say normally. I have a plan involving highlighters, sticky labels and the entire Spanish alphabet. My housemates will learn it too. And they'll grow to love it.
Today was doomed to failure from the outset, I think. I went to bed horribly late (although creeping around the house at 1.30am to make a cup of tea is quite fun, in a weird way) and woke up accordingly. Lisa actually tried to wake me up at 9.15, but I mumbled incoherantly at her about not having to be up untl 10.00. Thankfully, I didn't and made it to my first tutorial with plenty of time to spare.
Today, because I decided I actually wanted to look presentable rather than a tramp, I donned a skirt and
a plain t-shirt, with my long winter coat for the tutorial. Thing is, it was roasting this morning, so I came home between then and Spanish and swapped it for a warm cardigan type thing.
Typcially, it was chucking it down with rain when I left Spanish and shivered my way home.
Well, it's the weekend. And I actually have work to do, so I think that I shall do it. ("Hola! Me llamo Colleen!" I can't do the upside down exclamations yet, sorry.) Firstly, however, I am booking some train tickets to Cambridge. *bounces* There has to be a plus side, and I think I just found it.
[eta: God is mocking me. GOD IS MOCKING ME. Fucking train website won't take my fucking website. *kicks world* Help me.]
