Oct. 4th, 2005 11:16 am... and on a happier note, my entire flist appears to be developing fairly interesting love lives and new work projects and new starts.
Who says that autumn isn't a perfectly good time for new beginnings?
Work ethic still missing. Not only did I stay up until shockingly late last night on the phone, I also did not finish my notes. I have this tutorial Really Rather Soon and I have to buy lunch at some point. I should go and do it now, but I'm having too much fun actually being in the, y'know, library (second time ever! doing well!) and using a keyboard and a mouse. Wow. Old Skool.
Um, yes. Florence. And hungry.
Okay. To try and reduce spam, the reswt of my day after that post was a Good Day, weirdly. I did my notes of Florence and understood some of them! I then proceeded to run like an eejit to Modern History, sat through a dull lecture that it felt like I knew a lot of already and then found a chippie. An actual chippie. With real chips. Oh by god. They were delicious. I was so happy. Really, it's pathetic.
I then proceeded to skip merrily to my modern history tutorial. D'you know what? I enjoyed that too. I spoke to people on an Intellectual Level. I even had the beginning of an Intellectual Debate, which is impressive, and apparently my brain is not dead. I like my tutor - he was quite happy to admit that the Italian Renaissance was a wee bit dull and do lots of France instead.
Good fun. It actually was. And I came home to discover mail! Sort of. "We tried to deliver a packet, but there was no one in..." A packet of what? I'm expecting parcels. All I can tink of is a Jayne hat from
jennnlee, a shoebox from
kittyc1978 and a parcel from home (spare glasses, favourite jumper, spare digital camera apparently and possibly food vouchers). So this is quite the mystery. Unfortunately, I can't pick it up until tomorrow. I may swing by before history. Probably not, but I might.
Oooh. Only one early morning lecture tomorrow. I CAN NAP BOOYEAH.
AND we passed the cleanliness inspection. The exact term used on the report was "lovely house!" which is a good feeling, given the flailing last night.
