let's talk about text

My mildly dyslexic and technophobic mother has just initiated the following text conversation with me:

"we are taping sg1 for you.hope your having a good night lov mum."

My response:

"Thank you for reminding me that not only is my TV still in bubble wrap, but we don't even get Channel 5 around here. Enjoy the episode, SINCE I WON'T. Colleen."

"We will keep them on tape for you to watch at xmas. That bloke from farscape is in it yummy eye candy to replace Jack.keep working hard"

?!

Ben Browder? Does nothing for me because... well... I always preferred Claudia Black and Gigi Edgley, frankly, because OMGTEHPRETTY. Hearing my mother talking about him is distressing.

Although they are taping it for me. Bless them. They know me so well.

Oay. Back to the Pettegree. Anything to take away the pain of the spicy curry I made this evening. *fans mouth*

Actually, you know what DOES take away the pain? Singing along to the Coral AS LOUDLY AS POSSIBLE. Merseybeat, kids! *dances*

Claudia Black is in the first several episodes this season (she reprises the delightful "Vala" from last season guest appearance). Plus she spends at least one episode in midriff-baring gold-bikini-type outfit. So that's something to look forward to. :)

Actually, I think Ben and Gigi are both hot potatoes :). Never got into Claudia though. I can see the appeal, but she's got a slightly harsh face and I am so terribly addicted to prettiness :X. But Ben is a strange thing. I didn't like him at first but he grew on me, much in the manner of a sexually attractive verruca.
