I wasn't very drunk last night. After sorting out my washing and, y'know, showering, we didn't get into the Union until 11.00. And you know what? I am just going to have to shell out £15 bloody quid for a new matric card and hope for the best. I cannot believe that I've lost it THIS EARLY ON. It brings me shame, but I can't find it anywhere for love nor money. However, we shall see if this cleaning thing I've heard so much about yields results tonight. The problem with getting into the Union if you don't have a card means that I had to be Sarah's guest and flail about a lot with driving licences and an entrance fee of fifty whole pence.

Le gasp.

So, the night. Never actually happened properly. Coral turned up as I was leaving, as I wanted to be home for midnight or so. So I went home all alone, in the dark, but never mind. I was just a weeny bit drunk, as I had downed three double vodka and oranges (DIRT CHEAP) and oh dear. The problem with only two of you being out is that you do tend to drink a little more and have the oddest conversations ever.

We're going out again tonight (I AM A MASOCHIST) so that shall be most fun.

Once again, I ended up falling asleep at 3am. (To be fair, it was quite a deep sleep. I dreamt about the First Doctor giving me history lessons. Very peculiar. Not exactly what one aims for in a dream, to have William Hartnell shouting at you because you forgot a textbook.) I have a nine hour day. I am hungover and dehydrated. I am also in the most inexplicably fantastic and wonderful mood. Lisa has saved my bacon over Louis the Pious ("I have some books in my room - just go and read them!") so no scary linraryness for me, and hell, means I can at least be at home for part of my nine hour Day Of Hell. So yes, I am actually in a fantastic mood.

It's nice. We'll see if it lasts, of course, but if it stayed through the headache and my first lecture then it looks as though it might be settling in for a few hours, at least. I rather suspect that Spanish will kill it.

(Also, it has stopped raining. THANK GOD.)

[eta: Louis the Pious. Bit of a twat, wasn't he? Okay, okay, off to tutorial now, honestly, does anyone actually KNOW where the Old Seminar Room is, though? And still happy, no matter how much I just CRASHED AND BURNED in my Spanish test.]
