hathycol: (so glad)

Well, that's a relief. Went to Spanish and just sat there and discovered that my ability to write down the wrong number manifests itself in other languages. I think I have a problem. I hear the numbers, I just write them down the wrong way around and argh it's impossible. There has got to be something going on here. I can't be that dim, but then, I don't think I have dyscalcula or dyspraxia. (There is no way I have dyslexia, because... I just don't. I know words backwards, forwards and in a variety of amusing shapes. My tendancy to typo is not connected.) So... eh.

However. One bemusing Spanish lesson later, we got our test results back.

"13.5?" cryeth I. "I got 13.5 out of 75?"

Mickey gently leaned over and pointed out that I got 65 out of 75, which on the St Andrews grading scale is 13.5 out of 20.

Well.

I certainly won't complain about that. BRING ON MY 2.2 BABY.

Or at least, that's how I think it works. Either way, this makes me happy. Okay, 2.2 is not what I want to end up with at the end of my uni career, but for a subject I took a bit randomly and a test I didn't revise for, I think that's pretty damned cool. So that has improved my day.

I haven't done my reading for history, but then, I have spent all week reading up for my essay for the same subject, so I will plead stupidity and amaze her with my facts about Charlemagne as opposed to my zero facts about the medieval economy. We did it in lectures this week and I can be the queen of academic bullshit if need be. ALSO have lots of random facts about feudalism and bastard feudalism (that's the TECHNICAL NAME) from modern history, so I can probably pull some stuff in from there if need be.

Thursdays always improve immensely once Spanish is over. One tutorial, one more Spanish lesson, and the weekend is officially Here. This is a good thing. Also, I watched Chucklevision when I came home (we only have BBC 1, ITV and C4 - too much hassle to find the other two) and felt ashamed as Sarah and I watched with utter concentration. It's so nice having a TV though! Moving pictures! And Neighbours tonight! Except I am in a tutorial. Bah.
