Well.
I PWNED THE INVESTITURE CONTROVERSY.
Spent all the day panicking and reading frantically in the library and a lack of money meant my meals for the day consisted of two apples and a chocolate biscuit. This, as you may be able to guess, was Not Fun.
I was absolutely terrified by the time my tutorial swung around at five. However, I grit my teeth together and stood up in front of six people and babbled at them.
Thank god I work like this all the time. Thank god I have the ability to talk in front of people. Thank god I have no fear with looking people in the eye, with talking like a teacher, like madly making up my points in a fairly random points, and joking and talking in a Northern accent.
Apparently it worked. We then had a debate - Pope Gregory VII vs Henry IV - and my side was the Pope. We got far too into it. I am too Catholic sometimes. I like debating, I just don't have time to do it in the debating society. Which makes me sad, but I might try next semester.
Unfortunately, it did mean I got home at 6.30 to discover - wait for this - Sarah and Derya following the meal plan.
You heard me.
Following the meal plan.
Out of the cookbook.
I haven't enjoyed a meal so mcuh for AGES. I liked the taste and the fact I didn't have to cook and the washing up was minimal. YAY.
And then I watched Bleak House with Lisa. We have a TV now And All, and Lisa and I will end up watching period dramas together. I can see it happening. I really enjoyed it, actually. And Gillian Anderson's accent was flawless, which impressed me.
So. I have a Spanish test tomorrow (DOOOOOOOOOMED as per usual, but there we are) but I'm in a better mood than I normally am. This may, or may not, have something to do with the fact I have discovered the Dresden Dolls and by god I should have gotten into them sooner. It makes me... not happy, but it's invigoriating music and it's nice to have a change.
They cooked.
